In this video, I show how you can take scrap pieces of wood to transform them into rustic, farmhouse risers and pedestals. This is an inexpensive way to create a variety of risers to add elevation and dimension for staging home decor pieces throughout your home. Pedestals and risers aren't just home decor pieces but can also serve as added storage room for your dishes, collectibles, food and favorite accent pieces. The scrap wood pieces I used to make the long length, black riser was 5.5X22" and the cream square was 12X12". I purchased fenial craft feet to add to the bottoms from Lowes and other craft materials was purchased from Dollar General, WalMart and Target. I used chalk paint on all the pieces and hot glue. I recommend other glues in the video for a more secure bond. I stage all the pieces I made to show how they can accent any room in your home. Very inexpensive and fun project!
