@@mvend10 Lol, right? I was told by my Ranger buddies that if you don’t have a tab, you don’t get to sit down 🪑 at the company or use your phone and they smoke the fxck out of you until you get it.
Anyone looking to join the NG as an 11B that has questions hmu 🤙🏽 because it is not anything like active duty as they state in these videos. But there are some really good options in the NG if you do actually want to do cool guy shit.
@Jordan Guy well generally in the guard you deploy on title 10 orders (overseas) every 5-6 years I’ve heard it might be changing to every 2-3 like active duty. Keep in mind these are generally 1 year deployments because you have pre mobilization before, 9 months overseas, and de mobilization back in the states which usually totals to 12 months. As an 11B you usually do SECFOR missions which is basically security forces tower guard on a camp that active and sometimes special forces are operating in and out of. Checking ID’s, gate guard ect. Active duty will be doing all the real foot patrols and going outside the wire. It’s peacetime so it’s just how it is. During the peak of the war on terror the guard saw a lot more action cause they needed troops so it could change again we never stay at peace too long. And the beauty of the guard is if your company is not deploying you can jump on other deployments and volunteer to go they always need bodies. We have a ton of guys on our deployment now from sister companies to fill up the ranks.
I have questions about 11B, what exactly do you do on drill weekends? Also, I am considering 13F but don't know which one to choose because 13F would give me a bonus and not 11B.
@@williamhewitt1824 well first off they are lying to you bro bc as long as I can remember 11b is always on the top 10 needs of the Army which our the critical needs of the Army. And critical mos jobs in the Army almost always have a bonus attached. 11B should have a 20K bonus for a 6 year contract. They actually just asked us who wanted to re enlist and offered that bonus while we are overseas rn. They tried to play that sh!t with me at MEPS they told me they didn’t have a bonus for me or E2 rank and I walked out respectfully and they found 20k real fast by the next day. Stand your ground and get what you want in your contract it’s your life. And do your research. Which state are you in ?
So here’s my experience I joined in July 2020 shipped out Jan 2021 came home from 22 week infantry OSUT June 2021 was home for 4 months and deployed for 1 year overseas to the Middle East immediately getting to my unit. So to answer your question I have spent almost 2 years away from my wife and daughters. The guard usually deploys every 5-6 years I’ve heard through the grape vine it is supposed to change to every 2-3 like active. I have friends in the Regular Army and everyone I know in the guard has deployed more. Not to mention Covid orders, hurricane orders ect you will miss weddings, you will miss birthdays, and a lot so make sure it’s what you want talk to people that are currently in not the recruiters they only tell you what you want to hear.
And in addition to that I wouldn’t say we are a reserve component like the Army reserves we are our own component the mission set we have in NG infantry is totally different then active duty they go out on combat patrols and do everything that we were trained to do and we guard gates at their camps and do SECFOR which the MPs and Security forces should be doing. You do nothing like the videos say. The only way to have fun and adventure like the video is join up as 18x NG Special Forces (Green Berets) they have the funding to train you very high and send you to any schools you want. NG infantry on a regular line unit sucks honestly might as well be a pogue
@@jordanjaneiro354 thanks for the insight bro I appreciate it and man that sucks being 2 years away from your family brotha but atleast your an infantrymen serving this nation and all the men that died propping this country up with all its values and liberties an free open society through suffering in many forms just so our future generations can be safe while hardmen an nowadays women serve on the front while either guarding a gate or on patrol atleast they both know how to fight and both would willingly any day lay their life down for anyone else that needs to be protected especially the inoccent that’s still better than pogs that dnt know how to shoot move communicate either wey my soul can rest easy knowing that I’m a defender and I know what I can do and what I will do if the need arises and thanks for your service brotha I’m currently getting all my shyt squared away with meps for 102nd CT gaurd 11b god bless !!! Hope to ship out soon
I have to say as a current 11B in the FL NG I have been super disappointed thus far with the organization as far as training. My advice to any aspiring infantryman is to either go active duty or try to get 18X contract for National Guard Special Forces. Your drill weekends are mostly spent at the armory cleaning it and doing a bunch of useless work . Some of it is spent in the field doing the same repetitive react to contacts and battle drill 1A. Now I do have some buddies in other states that love it they have new airborne national guard units in Nebraska, and Indiana those might be some good part time options. They do a lot of cool training including jump weeks to keep their airborne jumps current. Any questions feel free to ask I am living the life currently on deployment.
Split option is when you attend your Basic training one summer and then your AIT the following summer. If you wish to apply for a full time position with the National Guard, you can, but only after you have completed at least your Basic and AIT.
Yes you can but you cannot apply for an AGR (Active Guard) full time position until you are in and E4 promotable. Also it is hard to get those jobs because the guard is very small so first it’s seniority for those positions and there has to be an opening for that rank and position at whatever armory has the job your applying for.
It could be possible! To find out more, hop on over to our live one on one chat at www.NationalGuard.com/instachat and we will be happy to answer your questions!
Dont do it all lies you wont see any of what was in this video and the army treats you less than plus warfare is changing there really isnt much of a need for us anymore
And? I’m a full time Police Officer and am planning to join the NG. I don’t care if it’s like JV, it’s another way I get to serve this country I love and also be able to live at home with my wife and son and be a cop. And I’m ready for the training and am prepared to deploy when that time comes. Have you ever seen Citizen Soldier about the OK NG that deployed to Afghanistan and saw a huge amount of combat? Didn’t look like JV to me.
But national guard infantry isn’t nearly as trained as good as active duty infantry. It’s basically like active duty army infantry is varsity football and national guard infantry is jv. Make it make sense
@@mvend10 Look it up, National Guard has proven it's fitness multiple times in Iraq/Afg. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Xv-GBQV8zY4.html
@@mvend10 I was about to say lol, Im 20, one of the youngest Afghan vets, And I’m with the 82nd 1-504th Parachuter Infantry Regiment….and yeah we do FAR more advanced infantry training than NG, hell my unit just came back from Kentucky Fort Knox where we conducted 2 weeks of training dedicated to squad attack and Platoon knock out bunker and clear trench drills with blank and live ammo night and day for each it was hard training. But we were told by our commander and SF and Ranger bat spectators that were absolutely lethal predators in our communications, movements, and fires.
I am an 11B in a NG infantry unit and no we don’t do nearly as much as active not even close. After OSUT it’s the same repetitive shit over and over. The only way is 18X in the guard that is the hidden gem 💎 and the route I’m going other than that join the guard as a pog you’ll at least enjoy your deployments and have a mix of male and female in your unit.
Not necessarily! It all depends on how well you score on the ASVAB, how you do on your physical, and if the MOS is open within your state! Are you working with a recruiter at this time?
No 11B is always on the top ten needs of the Army which means there is usually a bonus involved the most current has been 20k (taxes) for a 6 year obligation which I haven’t seen a penny of yet as long as a dozen other guys in my company so don’t let them lie and say they aren’t offering bonuses they tried to do that to me so I walked out it’s funny how fast they found 20k the very next day. Just remember those lists of the top 10 needs updates every 3 months so go at the beginning of that 3 months
Actually, Intelligence ( CIA, DIA, ISA), Special Operations Forces and Active Duty Army and Marine Corps Infantry, goes in before You National Guard Guys. 07 October AD 2001, Global War On Terror in Afghanistan proved that .🇺🇲🇺🇸🪖💣💥🔥🛡️🗡️⚔️🇺🇸🇺🇲‼️
