This video has a lot of mistakes. 1. P.P.E - where is their fluid resistant gown, hair net and disposable gloves for placing items inside pouches. 2. Handwashing should be performed before donning utility gloves, when hands are visibly soiled, after touching contaminated items, after leaving sterilising area and before going to touch anything on clean side. 2. Never recap a needle. Use the one handed scoop technique if you must or a needle protector. 3. Instruments should be rinsed under water prior to ultrasonic cleaning to remove any gross visible soils that may be present on the device. Note: do not place lensed items such as mouth mirrors into ultrasonic as can cause damage to the lens due to scratches caused the cavitation and implosion action of the ultrasonic cleaner. 4. Handpieces should be lubricated ideally after each use. 5. A set of disposable gloves should be worn when disinfecting tray. This is because using the same dirty utility gloves to decontaminate the tray can cause cross-contamination. 6. Dirty utility gloves should not be used when handling the instruments after they have come out of the ultrasonic cleaner for the inspection and packaging stage. You must ensure to rinse all instruments that have completed a ultrasonic cycle under warm-hot running water to rinse of all chemical detergent residues and any debris that may be sitting loosely on the surface of the device. You must dry instruments thoroughly using a lint-free cloth and with disposable gloves, prior to packaging (if needed) or for any further processing requiring sterilisation of unwrapped items too. 7. Do not overload sterilisation pouches as seen here. You must also not use bags that are too big or too small for the item(s) as you want to give it still room for bag to expand and contract and for steam to penetrate all surfaces. Make sure to remove any air in bag before sealing carefully along the perforated line. Do not over the bag as seen in this video!!!! This will impact the sterilising agents ability to reach all surfaces of a device, could damage the sterile barrier system and cause the pouch to not be dry on completion of the cycle. This means that a pouch won't be sterile upon release and will need to be reprocessed. 8. Take care when handling all instruments!! 9. Do not use utility gloves when placing items inside the autoclave. This will compromise sterility!!!! 10. Placing dirty utility gloves on the packaging and inspection towel is cross contaminating. 11. There is no clear workflow from dirty..to clean..to sterile and following a directional workflow is a must.

She did something wrong which is she handled the sterilization bags with the infected gloves , this is totally wrong . She should put on only one glove on one hand to hold the instruments with and with the other clean hand with no gloves hold the clean bag till she finish all or at least she can put on a new gloves latex one to hold the bags . And never put on the clean bags on the instruments .

no washing instruments, no washing hands when you remove gloves, placed dirty gloves on clean counter.... big red flags.

The pouches should never be over loaded with that many loose instruments. the labels should be applied after sterilization. why would you dry the instruments with the same dirty towel you put your ultrasonic lid on? just some questions.

What difference does it make when bagging the instruments(two gloves or one) since they are going into the sterilizer after bagging?
