What about the bugs in general associated with osteomyelitis? Pseudomonas, Salmonella typhi, brucellosis, campylobacteriosis...are those also safe bets as possible agents to septic arthritis?
Dear Maureen, i had accupunture on monday, as i was leaving the hospital i felt pain in two fingers. I later felt as if id been hit by a bus, Its been a week since then and last night i ha a really bad flare of reactive arthritis, or so i thought. I feel it in fingers, hand, elbows, toes. Some pain in the bones as they radiate to/from joint. I did have a cold/chest infection 3-4 weeks ago, it lingered a little. I had EBV last year, a month after I had reactive arthritis.. i am seeing a pattern of my joints flaring badly after infection. Im going to the Dr's later to ask for blood tests. This has been really informative. Please comment if you can recommend any particular blood tests to ask for or how to treat. Thank you Rachel
