Even though I prefer the way it's done in the film I love this scene but I actually wish that they at least in the film cut to the beginning where we see him enter the building and then instead of him meeting her he just walks up to the door and smiling closes the door and we hear the Chevaliers De SangReal music
In the books at the end ..da vinci code ..he is on a promise -- angels and demons - he gets his leg over ....at the end of inferno ..as least in the extra bits - it seems ...he gets the lost love of his life back
They don’t live in the same country, their lives are on different paths, and a romance wouldn’t work out. It’s better that they leave the ending a bit vague.
