My grandmother and aunt were both married to Green Berets. Grandmother divorced due to lack of communication amongst other things, aunt divorced because her spouse was unfaithful (with someone higher up 😳 like you said in the video) BUT my spouse is on the SF pipeline and we are determined to maintain our healthy relationship! We won’t allow fear to keep us from our goals! We are on this journey TOGETHER 🖤
Great job again PAMELA ROGERS, wish you both had done these videos when I was still active duty, y'all would have helped a lot of people and their spouses, I was in from 85'-95', even than the divorce rate was significantly high, due to being gone a lot, and accusations of cheating, so please keep both of your videos coming, they are very informative
Wow, this is crazy how this vid JUST popped up 1st on my YT Feed! Me and my gf were just speaking about this last week.. She knew a very nice Marine from her HS who was dating a close friend , he ended up cheating after several years in a secret relationship. I also was watching vids/Audiobooks from other SF operators who talked that it’s basically 100% chance of divorce.. freaked me out personally bc that’s not what I want and also since I grew up divorced families and saw the pain of affairs/divorce.. It would be cool to also hear Buck’s POV on this topic and if he had any of these fears signing up/being in SF about this or if Infedility is different among different Spec Op Jobs. Anyways, these videos are awesome from you and Buck! Really appreciate a video like this and many others you’ve posted.
It honestly just comes down to being open and honest with your spouse BEFORE jumping on this journey... Sean and I struggled a lot we were so young but once we knew we needed to set boundaries and get our shit together to made our relationship work, the game changed and we never looked back.
I know 3 high school classmates that became military wives, and had extra marital affairs while their husbands were on deployment The same 3 chicks had the same track record in high school, with their "If the cat's away..." attitude. Needless to say, it wasn't a big surprise... to me. .
@@athomewithme7599 Yeah, sad. 2x Shore patrol, then NCOIC of another unit. 4x Ex-BF, Bartender, Deputy, then Pawn Shop Owner. (at least no other military) 2x MP, then some SPC at the motor pool . note: SP/MP was a running theme . I guess Proximity = Affinity. . As I said, these girls/women didn't have the best dating record in high school. I have twice as many female friends, from JROTC, that got, and are still, married to their first military husbands. Some going on 20+ years now. Different times, though; No internet, no social media.
My friend is currently getting divorced because her husband (who was in the military) cheated on her. He got drunk at a barracks party and ended up sleeping with a 15 (who shouldn’t have been there) and he was 20 at the time. He ended up getting kicked out because the mom pressed charges on him. But my friend found out that in their 3 1/2 year relationship that he was pretty much cheating on her the whole time. So the military isn’t what was making him, he was a cheater from the second they started dating (their junior year of high school). Funny thing is she didn’t even want to get married, but he did so she went along with it…
