Ive been eating the same chocolate bar for 13 yrs now Edit: Yea I'm still eating it but tastes kinda bitter now.

That left-out chocolate piece covers the increase in the gap in between the diagonal cut. That gap increased by a slight bit so slight that our eyes fail to notice it. And I also feel that the length of the rightmost row also decreased by a little bit

Original chocolate bar 7.7 cm by 17 cm, for a total of 130.9 cm^2 Rearranged chocolate bar 7.7 cm by 16.4 cm, for a total of 126.28 cm^2 Chocolate bar is 4 pieces by 6 pieces, 7.7/4=1.925 cm; 17/6=2.833(repeating) cm Single piece: 1.925 cm by 2.833 cm, for a total of approx. 5.45 cm^2 126.28+5.45=131.73 cm^2 131.73>130.9

I think I understand it a bit. So, let's just say that the pieces you cut diagonally, each individual piece is cut 25% up from its left side to its right side. So, for the first piece on the left of the 4 diagonal cut pieces it's cut from 0% (the bottom) on its left side to 25% on its right side, and the second piece going right is cut from 25% to 50%, third piece 50% (halfway) to 75% and etc for the last piece on the right. Now, reshuffling those pieces (the 25% to 50% piece towards the 0% to 25% piece and etc) you'd see that the newly diagonal pieces put together are now actually 75% the size of the original pieces. The remaining 4 25% pieces are placed onto the extra piece to make that full piece. Idk if that was probably easy to figure out, but i just felt like doing some math. :) 16.29166 technically is the new length, I think. (I did this all in my head out of boredom. Up to you to believe it or not but I do love math.)

omg first time I saw this trick I couldn't stop laughing of hysteria and amazement... I couldn't believe it but it's such a relief you explained this trick, now I can go to bed without worries thank you!!

It's simple the space between the cracks can be filled by the pieces you've chopped off if you stretch them like gum in ya head and place it between the crack the mass fits in perfectly, the more pieces you take, the bigger the crack will seem.

They took the charlie and the chocolate factory's preserving chocolate too far.

1:06 as you can see there are little gaps in the chocolate down the slanted part and the squares don’t add up so if you were to plug in the missing prices for each square down the slant it would make up that missing piece of that makes sense TLDR- you have less candy than you stated with just doesn’t appear that way

There is also another theory,what if the gaps that were cut in between the chocolates created that 1 piece “extra”...

Explained by 1000000iq me: Just do it 1000 times and you will see the difference.

It's all about that inclined plane. Ofcourse the breadth doesn't change. It's the constant base. The length changes because it's sliced a line on the length sides. Try this trick with a paper. Just draw 4*6 squares and keep moving them according to the rule. It'll be visually evident and fun to watch as we slowly get a clearer vision of the illusion that has tricked many! :D I love your videos btw.

(To see if it's really infinite, do it on a squared paper like chocolate and imitate the video and later, you can see it a little smaller. I don't know if I explained it good, so try to do it). That chocolate piece u took out has to do with that crack you see, if u were to melt the chocolate back into it's original form and fill up the crack it would be a perfect fit because that's the amount you took out. I rest my case.
