Infinite Ikea | SCP MEAT 

I worked at Ikea in Charlotte, NC and a guy told me our ikea was the ikea in this SCP. Next Halloween I wore a faceless mask at work and a teenager was so scared I got written up.

I’m absolutely down for Papa Meat + SCP content.

That journal is so fuckin tragic. Stuck in that infinite maze for months, no hope of getting out, then suddenly in a mad chase you stumble upon a door and go through and... you're out, you see the sky for the first time in months, you've done it you're free! Finally! And then you get ripped appart by one of those creatures. That's so fucking sad.

Between Hunter discovering the oddities of SCP and his inability to read a full paragraph without messing up, this is my favorite series on this channel right now.

I just listened to the three-part story on SCP-3008 on Spotify not too long ago, I just want to add what Staff does to humans they get ahold of. If I remember correctly they fold you, and I mean literally fold you. Its something like they mistake humans for "merchandise" that is outside of its "packaging", so they basically hold you down and use their hands to fold you in on yourself in impossible ways, causing mortal, irreversible injury. Then they stuff you in a box and stock you on a shelf somewhere.

I think the reason they are faceless is to replicate the IKEA mannequins

Faceless people wasn't created by Slenderman, it's an old instinctual human fear, a person missing the most human part of themselves. It makes appearances in very old depictions of evil.

If im being honest, i love your voice over things more than your animations. Not saying your animations arent good, but i feel like your voice and way of telling a story blends really well WITH your custom drawings and things like that! Like for the leprechaun series you had little weird leprechauns and it fit so well. I love these style of videos and especially creep cast!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series on YT. I’d love to see you cover some internet mysteries in Papa Meat fashion, such as Lake City Quiet Pills, Mortis, Cicada 3301, etc. I think that could be a super neat series.

The multiple dimensions thing may sound cheesy but it’s a fairly big part of SCP. It’s used on multiple occasions to show what could happen on an alternate earth if a specific SCP were not contained. There are also specific SCP which enable interdimensional travel, are themselves interdimensional creatures, locations, etc.

If you escape the infinite ikea you won’t go home. If everyone who enters is from a different dimension then everyone who exits probably wouldn’t go back to their original dimension. In that way there is no hope, no light at the end of the tunnel. You will never go home.

This was my first and favorite scp story. Something about the idea of getting locked in a store after hours always seemed appealing as a child. But hearing about it being like some horror survival game where you'd have different encampments of people trying to survive the night really captures my imagination when I first heard it.

The tempo at which you're cranking out these video's is excruciating, yet it doesn't seem to impact the quality. Those practical effects on Winslow in the previous video were incredible and it's also really cool of Hunter that he filmed this video before doing his cameo in Pulp Fiction.

The object found in the chest cavity of SCP 3008-2 was, in fact, a Swedish meatball. While they do not exhibit blood, as a human would, there is what seems to be a mixture of lingonberry sauce and gravy. It is believed that mixing the two fluids is what makes the ‘employees’ become violent at night time.

Hedonic adaptation is a hell of a thing. As dangerous as this place is, the fact there's infinite food and materials mean not all of your primal threats are triggered at once. It may be a better life in there than some people's lives in the real world are. Some people deal with certain kinds of threats better than other kinds.

I absolutely love the set up of these SCP videos. Makes me think of a mixture of casual commentary and watching from the POV of a newbie, level-4 Foundation staff member whose being briefed on these SCPs by ol' Papa Meat. He even has the more lax demeanor of a "been there, done that" senior member whose willing to throw in some gallows humor and approach the subject with ease, despite tackling incomprehensible and wildly supernatural things out in the world.

The item in the middle of SCP-3008-2’s chest is just a Swedish meatball.

You know, something about you and SCP together just really captivates me. Like a match made in heaven.

There's so many cool and creative entries in the SCP wiki. I remember way back in like 2015 I spent hours and hours reading entries, and found some really special ones. It's sad that these days it seems bogged down with a bunch of crap, and all the original writers are basically gone, but all the old ones are still there. I hope you find them and do more videos on SCP entries, it's really interesting.

I really love the faceless bit actually because instances of SCP 3008-2 can "speak" or able to emit some sort of sound. It is honestly pretty scary to imagine walking through the space in a dark space to hear them telling you to leave from a disembodied voice within or near it, but you can't pinpoint exactly from where or how.

I love SCP stuff but its nice for something to be like an actual store and not just like a creature.

6:44 exactly. Like imagine it was something where it was just really off putting. Like an uncanny, overly friendly smile that just doesn’t feel right. Wide, glazed over, empty eyes that stare right through you. A slightly pale skin complexion that seems almost a little slimy. Like this thing looks like a human, but just very slightly off.

covering SCPs is a smart move, fits the channel and there's a lot of content. and i dont really know a lot about SCP. keep it up!

Swear Hunter is a wizard. I’ve been wanting a channel to do something along these lines with the SCP universe and I’m so happy he’s become that creator. I love the complexities and endless variety this universe possesses but I get lost and off track in it so easy. This makes the content much more enjoyable, while also getting the Papa Meat spin! I imagine the person who wrote this SCP had once been lost in an IKEA just frantically looking for a way out of the store while the workers are like jogging after him confused like “uh, sir we are now closed… please exit the building” and he just keeps running around the store like a lunatic unable to find his way out. Eventually loosing the workers and trying to build a shelter out of the furniture, but he couldn’t understand the instructions so it’s just a mess of tables and chairs and rugs half assed into a fort.

I really hope you keep making these SCP videos. They're incredibly fun to watch!

Papa meat I gotta say: Usually when I subscribe to someone and they have a second channel, ill maybe watch one or two videos and skip the rest since its not usually related to the main channel. But you however, I have been slowly becoming more and more addicted to all of your content. Ive been watching everything, especially if I havent heard of the topic before because you do such a damn good job at catching me up to the details then pondering it. The editing is perfect, and I love the drawings you include in them to drive your points further. Top tier content man, probably the only youtuber that can catch my attention to anything you put out. Oooh wow. I used to be a big lurker on /x back in the day and loved to read the SCP website before bed to scare myself. This is such a fun way to revisit these stories with some more layman's terms and explanations. I don't think I'll ever get tired of that creepy feeling I get listening to these, even as I get older.

I imagine nobody bats an eye at people vanishing at ikea because those who do go looking for them, and then end up also missing.

I don’t think the alternate reality angle is bad. I think it’s necessary because if people kept disappearing in IKEA’s across the world it would eventually get out and get noticed by the public if so many people were disappearing.

This is one of my absolute favorite SCPs. I am a recent subscriber, so I was super excited to see a video on this! This was definitely super fun to watch and for sure motivates me to check out your other SCP videos. Thank you for an amazingly entertaining half an hour!

SCP-738 is, in my opinion, the coolest one. It consists of two chairs and the table in which, once you sit down, a figure only you can see offers you a contract. It is straight out of old victorian folklore or something. Faustian, even. Love that is seems so benign, and yet, it gives the most horrific of vibes

You should do SCP-4666 (The Yule Man) for a Christmas episode. This one is really creepy and feels like it would fit this format well

I think SCP-5000 might be a good one to cover. It’s a bit lengthy but I think it has a pretty interesting story.

SCP-001 When the day breaks terryfies me to the core, it even got to get a crossover with the ikea and the mythical Manager of the infinite Ikea shows up there just to command the employee's "Cleanup on isle 798" over the speakers in there to which the staff all just immediatly head there, now imagine a flesh monster fighting the staff and trying to get them to the sun while they try to annihilate it while helping any people in danger, yes they were helping the people in the Ikea because it was day. This was a very special occasion, as a great threat tried to get into the ikea to turn all of its inhabitans into flesh monsters, which merge with the main mass to enhance it (kind of like Flesh that hates but very different in the motive, inteligence and tactics), the staff can be turned but they win in the end by sheer numbers and presumably the directions of the mythical Manager which seems to be the Ikea itself maybe.

Man I just stumbled across this channel and it’s pretty awesome! I saw “Meat”, lol, on a Wendigoon video… I thought Meat was idk retiring or quitting. Hope not
