When dropping the good motor in and connecting the transmission is there a gasket or sealant tht have to be used or just bolt up and keep moving sorry if dumb question I admit I don't know alot about car mechanical engineering
@@GDWS81 thank you for the quick response I have a 2007 m35x tht needs timing kit but I have a vq35de motor sitting in yard with 40k on it I figure it's time to attempt to swap out motors
does the engine just slide out after talking the outside bolts out (assuming everything else is disconnected) to get to the torque converter bolts? i have a rwd if that make a difference
@@andrewrodriguez7678 turns out trans has a crack all up the side of it where it bolts into the engine so im taking the trans out with it i found that it was cracked the last bolt lol anyways its 100% possible to fo it the way he shows you in the video im probably going to be dropping a video on it forsure
@@thisbamboozle3924 I got a vq in a g35 thats just cranking no start i think ima go ahead and attempt the swap aswell i did transmissions before from under the car so with ahoist and a hand i should be good
Update: cars running and driving all good to go im going to post what i had trouble with but for the most part its pretty straight forward not too bad but it is a job
