Hey, youtube! I made a video on how to replace the spark plugs on my Infiniti G37! Hopefully, this helps someone someday! Cheers! Subscribe: / @mcgo101 Keep your G37 running right with these NGK spark plugs! : amzn.to/3Qb87YW
Thanks so much for your video. Got a quote from infinity for 567 dollars. You have probably helped many people like me. Have almost 120k miles on 2011. Hope to get 175k before trade in.
just replaced mine i smell a little bit of gas i saw it’s because i have to tighten my spark plugs more is that true? other then that the car runs fine
Hi there, I have a question regarding removing the throttle body, when you put it back do u need to do an idle relearn? other than that super informative video
I didn't as I tried bot to disturb the throttle body plates too much. Just quick clean and reinstall. No issues for me. Wouldn't hurt to do it by the manual tho
Hey i like your video. Did you use torque tools for any of the bolts or spark plugs. I do not have any torque wrenches and was wondering if I could still just do it by hand.
Hey! i did not pull my battery terminal off but it wouldn't hurt to consult a shop manual quick just to be sure of the proper method. I have not looked at the manual but i am willing to bet it says to remove the negative terminal before completing the work. the reason i recommend checking the manual first is i did just have a startup and stall issue last week. when i looked it up it recommended cleaning the throttle bodies and the MAF sensors and doing the relearn procedure on the TB's. - So i would recommend disconnecting the battery, changing the plugs then cleaning the TB's and MAF sensors and doing the relearn procedure quick. just to avoid any issues down the road. Best of luck! keep us posted!
Yes you should don’t listen to him. The moment you need to change spark plugs you might as well do preventive maintenance on the valve cover gaskets. These crack and get hard over time. That way you don’t have to worry about a oil leak in the future. Not only that but there’s also the spark plug gaskets on the cover and if it goes bad then oil will leak on your ignition coils and spark plugs which can mess with your ignition process and cause misfiring. Better to be safe than sorry.
hey man, coil packs should only reach their respective cylinders with the wiring to the coils IIRC. If she wont start you may have to do the relearn procedures on the throttle bodies. best of luck!
@@McGo101 yea it seated good and everything all the other ones are tight expect for that one maybe I screw it in sideways or something cause when I try to tighten it more it get hard and the coil is still loose
@@MetalDetailer oh my bad wrong vid, in both of my socket sets they came with a long ext that is approx 8 inches and that worked fine with a 3/8s ratchet and spark plug socket.
@@BryanReyes-xj6dd imo engines need air fuel and spark to run, clean air filters, plugs and clean fuel filters/injectors would probly aid in starting quicker
