The air lift system that comes installed on the vehicle does make the ride more comfortable. It basically self inflates independently when needed to make for a smooth ride. I have also installed after market air bags in my rear coil springs that I have to inflate myself when I tow my trailer with my vehicle. I only installed these to stiffin up my rear suspension when towing my heavy trailer and these ones do not make ot a smoother ride. They make the suspension more stiff and rough. I deflate these ones if I'm not towing anything.
