One thing I'm struggling with is the swing between the index and middle finger, it's like I don't have enough room to let it swing as it should. :/

maybe use a thicker pen, or a pen with a wider grip :)

If you dont have those grips on ur pen it will be much harder becuase I tried it without the grip and it kept falling out of my hand and it kept getting stuck but when you have the grip it is much easier and smoother to control the pen and as you can see he has a grip on his pen which makes it easier
