4 years? Wow… I gave up after a couple of months…though I didn’t dedicate time to it consistently…Hmm I’ll try again, now that I saw the video once…lol.
Managed to solve it by doing moves that looked good, combined with completely random ones to move out of "intuition traps", and eventually probability was on my side. Very nice to see there was an elegant and simple pattern to the solution
I have solved this once on my own, that is insane how I did it at like 14 without a clue watching that other famous guy solve puzzles on RU-vid. Now I understand the mechanics and will reassemble this with ease thanks to this video. Bravo
My absolute favorite hanayama puzzle… I’ve carried the infinity around for over a year now and solve it (obviously) blindly like a puzzle fidget spinner❤
Beautiful. This is by far the simplest explanation, thanks in part to you keeping the orientation of the puzzle the same throughout the video. Other videos flip the puzzle over unnecessarily. Thank you! How elegant and memorable this puzzles mechanism is!
Awesome puzzle. I got this for Christmas. Opened presents early today. Took the afternoon playing with it too get it apart. And a few hours of play here and there to get it back together. I definitely do NOT feel it is a level 6 puzzle though ..i thought it should have been around a 4. I thought getting it back together was harder then separation.
This is one of my favorites… I carry that thing around like a fidget spinner lol I just got the hourglass and I've been messing around with it for days now until I understood what I was doing… It took four hours to take it apart the first time And then three days of fidgeting and retracing my steps over and over and over again until I could put it back together😅
I can't put it back together either. The non infinity piece doesn't seem to move at all and just falls out after twisting the infinity piece several times!
Thanks guyot it appart however couldn't figure out how to reassemble it.. thanks for Simple to follow guide that doesn't have the puzzle being flipped in every direction and confusing the audience. :)
👍Thx. Once I got past the medal manipulation to get the pieces moving (tight) I was able to do it without issue. Pieces kinda BIND a bit & it’s confusing at first because ya think you’re not turning them correctly. Just my 2¢. Thx again.
Easiest to follow video I have seen. You did not mention that the two bumps on main body are of different sizes and which wheel goes round the wide or narrow side.
Wow I'm so mad at you.....I have been trying this for a long time now at work...my coworker saw me trying it....he was like ooo I thought that was lost ...I'm like heeeel no I been trying this for months
I believe that difficulties are purely subjective. For example, I am sharing some of my aproximate times in minutes here. Level 6: Infinity 30. Square less than 10. News literally 2 minutes. Hourglass still trying to figure out. I figured out Quartet but it's too tricky for my stupid butter fingers. Level 5: Dial about 15, Spiral about 10, Twist about 40, Vortex and Equa about to throw them both out of the window. Level 4: Cake 20, Donuts 30, Hashtag 5 minutes, Hexagon 15, Marble 15, Moebius 10. UFO 6 hours. Level 3: Only have O'Gear and it took me over an hour. Seriously. Level 2: Dot 40. Harmony 50. Plate 15. Box....... I would be totally ashamed to admit that it took me more than the full LOTR extended edition movies (The Hobbit included), so I am totally not telling you how long it took me to solve that obnoxious piece of... metal. However, when I did finally solve it, a Cenobite appeared before me, laughed his ass off at me and then went back to his dimension.
I came here because I knew I wasn't the only one who felt this one was much easier than a Level 6. I still can't solve the Rotor without RossDM's video. The first day I had this I couldn't get the left side to move more than one notch but by Day 2 I had it solved. The trick for me is to turn it on its side and use my pinkies. The best way I can describe it is to equate it to lockpicking where you learn how to feel the tumblers fall into place. With it flat like in the video you are fighting gravity, but on its side it's easy to just let the "tumblers" fall into place. After a couple days anyone should be able to disassemble this in under a minute, and reassemble it in similar time. If you want to challenge yourself, take it apart and put it back together in the dark LOL A couple key things RossDM did not mention... When the rings are out, the ridges inside the frame are of different sizes and in different positions. It's critical to learn those differences. It's also critical to remember which ring goes to which ridge on the frame and to which direction. In the video the orientation of the pieces never changed. But in the real world those pieces will get scrambled and knowing how everything is positioned is the only way to get it reassembled properly.
How did u figure this out tho??? Like its impossible to know the combination tho ... Without any help, appreciate it, just bought mine and was annoying me AFZ cause there is no logic .. just trial and error
i wonder what or how you would be able to solve this if someone managed to move the blank one and move the other one a few times and then was stuck? how would i know how to put it back to the original position? got this today!!
@@RossDM no --i meant if someone moved the blank piece and managed to move the other piece a few times how would you know how to get it back to original? i guess by looking at the infinity logo
Mine is different. The top an bottom pieces that they side in too are different I don’t understand and wish I could explain better but like the little bottom piece is in the front and the top one is in the back if you know what I’m trying to say
Cant believe people find fun this kind of puzzles where there is a hidden mechanism you have no way of knowing about, its all try and error with 0 logical thinking.
Thank you so much for this!!!💕Im lose on put this thing back together that harder for me😅 I hope you have a good day🥰🤟 wait...ill adding you on subscribe 😊😇
