@@paydawy I couldn’t tolerate red meat at all but I was advised that was because of the foods I was combining it with. I eventually went full carnivore and only had red meat and whilst it was tough by the end of the 1st week all bleeding stopped.

You can by capsules of curcumin. 1 capsule equivalent to a cup of turmeric! In another word you will need to have 1 cup of turmeric every day just to get 1 capsule worth of anti inflammatory property ( curcurmin ).
Full remission is very rare with IBD unless you make a lot of lifestyle and dietary changes. LI have gone over five years without any ulcerative colitis symptoms, eliminating all medications about 4.5 years ago. I read about the SCD (diet) and started by eating only bone broth/meat stock with nutritious meats, cooked vegetables, soft boiled eggs and other soft foods like baked apples, baked squashes etc... Look into the carnivore diet and intermittent fasting. Carbohydrates aren't bad, but they really seem to cause flare-ups, that will also help in addition to tumeric, boswellia and maybe wormwood. My IBS has improved dramatically with the carnivore diet... even though it's a challenge to stay away from the carbs.

The more research I do the more I’m finding I have both Ankylosing Spondylitis with Crohns. I grow my own food and turmeric will certainly be on the list to grow. Our fresh goat milk has helped a lot. I cannot have red meat often. Moderation. We raise our own chicken and pigs and it’s amazing the difference it makes when raised on our farm. I have flare ups in the winter when I assume I’m not eating quite as well due to lack of a garden. Snow. I have colitis and I started using coconut oil to heal my gut. I’m trying to take it every day to see if I see any improvement. digestive enzymes have helped me a lot.
What works for one person, does not necessarily work for another. Before you go EXTREME, try some experimentation in terms of diet and supplements. ie Elimination Diet/Carnivore Diet/Vegan Diet/Fish Diet etc. Give each option a 2-3 weeks to see if it makes a difference (of course if you see bad results immediately stop). What are the long term effects of living with proctitis for years? My symptoms are mild. Typically just small amounts of blood in my bowel movements. My grandson is 19 years old he is cerebral palsy , and has Crohn’s disease, I have been doing plexus on him. He is nonverbal and eats through a feeding tube, he doesn’t have anything by mouth! If you just had your GB removed stay away from fatty foods. Eat only lean meats if you must. Fat is your enemy... specifically certain types of fats. Avocados for example are good fats, olive oil aswell. But slow, with moderation. Even if good, take it easy with the oils.

I haven’t been able to identify exactly the triggers but several times I’ve had diarrhea after eating a bowl of salad as well as other cooked veggies . This condition is tricky and frustrating.
My antigen test did not suggest crohn or colitis. Std tests were also negative. However for 1 year i have had proctitis and painful Rectal irritation. Doctors dont seem to care. What can i do?
Proctitis can be difficult to treat as it is so distal (the end of the digestive tract). Many times I recommend antiinflammatory herbs and diet and frequently rectal administration of herbs, probiotics and gut healing supplements. Look up mark davis and IBD retention enemas for more info. He’s great!

It depends on the patients presentation. If it is large bowel bacterial overgrowths and infections then targeted probiotics and prebiotics tend to be the best and most gentle approach. If the small bowel is involved (SIBO symptoms) then we would need to turn to herbal antimicrobials as well.
Tania L of course! It very much depends on the type of SIBO. For hydrogen dominant the chief herb is pomegranate husk (along with other supportive herbs). For methane SIBO the chief herbs are cinnamon and garlic. My approach is to gently rebalance the small bowel (prebiotics, probiotics and herbs) and to gradually ramp up to stronger antimicrobial herbs if we aren’t managing to clear the overgrowths. the longer they take for biopsies the change that its nothing so most likely at the time she took the tests its nothing but ibd comes on gradually...she should focus on diet, no smoking or drinking or coffee..also stress has to be very minimal.

Pink Ocean Flower apologies on the delay! There are a number of ways around this issue. Many times the more refined herbal extracts are much lower in plant constituents that people struggle with. There are always great alternatives including binders that help in the short term while we balance everything out again.

@@pinkoceanflower3045 i have the same issues. Histamine, glutamine, nickel, gluten,tea, herb, binder allergies and also I cant swallow pills bc of VCD. I'm so tired of doctors/those with schooling recommending pills; I took over 25 supplements with an fnt in just 6 months. Its not cheap and doesn't help. I hope we can find honest help for our conditions. I've tried all the natural healing youtube pages and even made my own, but no luck in the community of experience either :(
