Really does feel that way. I remember making 17 an hour back in 2018 and I was doing fine. I now make 25-30 and I feel a bit less than fine. Crazy how that happens.
Currently I make 20.75 when I started working in high school i made 11.50 I was able to rent and have fun and go out and have a bit of savings now I’m check to check
And the minimum wage keeps creeping closer to my wage that took me 10 years to get to. I've worked hard to be as far from minimum wage as possible but here we are.
