The first girl's hilarious because even though she's mocking the cute worker guy for his job, he probably doesn't even remember her but she remembered him enough to talk shit about him lol.
I have to assume this woman is independently wealthy because.. not to shame but her makeup game isn't good enough to make her appealing and her accent is hard to stomach
FR! Her only “evidence” that he was interested in her was a smile, which is just _part of working in customer service._ For all we know, he could’ve been crying inside. He probably forgot about her by the time he got home.
@@lyrebird2491 It technically does, though that specific I is in bold, so the proportions seem off (i'm too lazy to mesire if putting the text in bold also squihes it down slightly to amplify the effect)
Exactly I work remote and have a lot of zoom meetings and sure I get tired but the fact I don’t have to commute and can as he said just teleport to my job I am so thankful for!
This may be mind blowing information for most influences, but you are not better than everyone. You're making videos online, not solving world hunger. Making videos is a hard job, but so is EVERYONE else's.
6:58 She's like one of those annoying “cool” girls I used to have in my first year of uni, Crazy thing is, All of these girls who make fun of people being “Lazy and unproductive” are ones that come from a really privileged backgrounds, she also got that annoying giggle too 😭
what’s crazy is seeing people say it’s so difficult to work their job or that they’re low on money when i’ve seen my parents go through physical pain to work and i’ve been homeless as a kid around 4 times 😭 like the privilege they have is insane
Same. We struggled with money all our lives, and i've been homeless for a year before. And I couldn't imagine being homeless 4 TIMES! glad your still here today dude.
a lot of these people ARE actually like trust fund babies and so when social media becomes their job and theres a camera in their face all the time, the true colours are shown. so many of these people can choose to be influencers because they are financially secure. no person is going to pick being an influencer over working at a pizza shop
yes ! to be JUST an influencer and not working any job on the side requires a level of financial security from the get go bcus the income u earn from tiktok would be very unstable depending on how many views or followers you have / times you have gone viral etc.
Oh my god I'm rolling my eyes so bad at the last one. Them talking about "struggling" and having to be "smart with their money" for once in their lives when most people have had to do that every single day of their lives? Get over yourselves.
5:50 omg I want her to try some of the grueling jobs: plumbing, electrician, carpentry....a nurse! These people are out of touch with reality. Teachers have low pay but these people get paid to talk.
I'm from Denmark, so maybe that informs t his take a little, but I just want to say... The American work culture is insane. I 100% am convinced that Mikayla was exaggerating about her schedule (you're your own boss - why wake up at 6 if you don't like it? And if you like it, why make it sound like a burden placed onto you, by... not you?) but the fact that so many Americans in this comment section is like "Oh even if she was telling the truth, that's a very easy job, I work 15 hour days sometimes!" Jesus. If I met someone with the schedule Mikayla claims to have, I would think that her job is at least little bit harder than the average person I know - and I come from a family that has always held undervalued and underpaid jobs. My moms a middle-school art teacher. My immigrant dad started and runs his own bakery, and does almost everything himself. My uncle works as a therapist for the criminally insane. All the women on my moms side are nurses, teachers, Social support workers.... And I'm still astonished by how much Americans work. I'm sorry, guys.
Oh god the poor nurses and doctors here, it’s so rare they get a full weekend off of work they call it a “golden weekend” because they work so much so frequently
Its fucking crazy that these people think they're struggling when they have more money at 21 than most of their generation will have in their entire lives. Adulthood is hard for you because you have to sell your supercar to keep paying for your LA Mansion? Damn bro, I'm so sorry for you. I thought it was tough working two jobs to cover rent and groceries, I never knew what influencers are going through. So sad.
Honestly, i tried to hop on the at least "i wanna try to be famous" train, but it's for dilligent people who write, film, edit, caption etc. Im not dilligent people, but i can handle a classroom of tiny goblins.
Bruh. Making a month and a half of my income in one hour actually like made me sad. I’ve never felt this much like I’m failing working my ass off at two jobs and not even making what some make in an hour in literal months. God I hate this world.
i mean, yeah. it takes a special kind of person to be able to film, perform, edit, market, keep up with the newest trends and be entertaining as a influencer. i would say it's not that common set of skills. it's mentally draining job. but, it's also not THAT rare of a set of talents. there are also jobs that are more physically and mentally draining where people make way way WAY less money than some of these people. i dont want to undermine anyones hard work, but these people need to know, that their biggest skill has been to be at the right place at the right time. it is the thing with all famous people. you might be the most talented and hard working person in the world, but if you never get your lucky shot, be it through talent agencies or algorithm, you will never make it.
the thing most people miss is being handed opportunity on a silver platter by either getting lucky and going viral and getting a following or whatever, creates entitlement almost every time. they never had to struggle. so they lose grip on reality because they never had to really be sobered by it
I’m sorry, $4k for an hour? I’m trying to find a place that will pay me $20 for an hour. I just, how entitled. I would kill 🔪 for a chance of that little work for that much cash.
I promise I was paying attention to Ray, but I immediately noticed how the dude in that podcast kept rubbing his knee and as someone with arthritis and other knee issues I immediately recognized the "absentmindedly rubbing my knee cause it aches/hurts" he was doing. Don't know if he hurt it or just has a long term knee injury, but just something I noticed.
I binged all the videos on this and his second channel, but I need to rewatch them now bc they were one of the best things making me feel better with all the awful stuff going on in current events atm Thank you for lifting my spirits dude. Looking forward to more videos from you 🩷
Wait until these people have to work a janitorial job and have to pry a urinal cake out of an office men’s toilet because someone puked in it. For 11 an hour and they don’t even pay you mileage. That’s reality.
i forgot to comment this yesterday i think so i had to come back to tell you that the editing on this one goes crazy and had me literally laughing out loud, not just like the "heh" exhale, like an actual lol
I work on social media and from home. I am beyond blessed that I can do this and make a living for my family. I love my job and adore the people I work for. I also dedicate a lot of time to doing the best job that I can. But, my job is in no way "hard". Anyone who tries to tell you that working on social media IS is lying to you and themselves.
The best part is when influencers thought they were on the same level as actual celebrities ( who are also out of touch but at least have talent) when they were invited to the met gala only to be firmly soft banned the next year
I almost want to follow that influencer couple (who now have to be "smart" with their money) too see how much poorer they can become...but that would defeat my aim of seeing them become poor.
Me at my minimum wage job of standing in one spot for 12 hours to have to wrangle drunks thanking the heavens I don’t have the struggle of… checks notes, wealth beyond my wildest dreams and the ability to retire on the spot meaning my job is basically optional and I can quit if that’s what’s best for my wellbeing
I think it's easy for people to say "my job is hard." Most jobs are. And whatever you make, once you start making commitments that depend on the money continuing to flow, it gets stressful that it might not. I don't think badly of people who've had the incredible fortune to both make amazing money when they're young, doing work that they have an unusual amount of control over. Good on ya. But they shouldn't look down on the pizza guy.
i mean i totally agree i also wouldnt date a dude who works at a pizza place. It's okay to consider people's financial situation and career etc when you decide if you want to date them. But... then don't lead him on and then make fun of him publicly wtf?
Another Fantastic episode!!! I look forward to every Sunday where you make me laugh so hard my family just looks at me like I'm a total crazy person! hahaha You always make my Sunday mornings hilarious, please don't ever stop! Big hugs and laughs!! 😂
i dated an influencer for two years, and i'll say openly she was narcissistic and deeply out of touch with reality. Never Again. These people are monsters.
Mikayla talking about her day being so “hard” makes my eye twitch. She gets to film and then sit for a couple hours to do her job in the comfort of her own home and get thousands of dollars. Meanwhile I have to get up at 5am and fight for my life for 12 hours at the hospital keeping people alive and getting spit at, punched, kicked, screamed at, and have to dodge full canisters of piss and shit. Despite that, I don’t make enough money to buy a house in this economy. Paycheck to paycheck babyyy
All of the ’influencers’ in this video are nothing but waste of space. Arrogant, ignorant, entitled and fecking annoying as hell. You, on the other hand, deserve respect and admiration - and more money. 😊💪
i think its just slightly wealthier than normal people i have a friend, who is not rich but not poor, he constantly says hes "house poor" hes on route to pay off his house in 6 years of owning it... he buys stocks and eats out every day... its really kinda annoying when people say they are poor when they arent even close to being poor
I don't really have anything important to say I guess the video speaks for itself But I just wanna say that your videos are genuinely very well made and you deserve way more attention in my opinion Hope this comment helps with engagement Keep up the great work I really enjoy your videos Oh and also You're looking great :)
It’s funny how out of touch privileged celebrities have been replaced by out of touch privileged influencers. At least the actors, singers had a talent these people are essentially salespeople hocking tat to kids
If that’s Broke im on the streets then and 4000 you say, I don’t even make that in over a month much less an hour they are very privileged I would cry of joy if I had that much money
99% of the time I hear content creators complain about 'industry related complaints' it's not actually industry related but the same as most other jobs. It gets really tiring, especially when they act special. Like sure, complain to your friends or whatever about working because working can really suck but I hate when they act like it's different. The other 1% are people who actually talk about things that are largely unique to their industry or have some kind of a protest or movement for change, or an awareness campaign.
