can your separate the three stages Extract, Transform & Load? I was confused as in which was extract, which was transform & which was load?

The process where we connect to the source database and creation of source qualifier transformation is extraction phase, all steps till creation of target table is transformation and execution of the workflow is loading process. Hope this helps :)

hi. Thanks for great tutorial. I have a doubt in the example where you were to select top 3 performing departments or categories. You have applied a group by on department and not product if i got it correctly. How is it possible to print product id along with department. It may be the case that in your example department and product have one to one mapping. That is only way you got 3 rows. If a department has multiple products then which product will the output show? Select count(product), product, department from table group by department will surely raise an error.

Hey Manish, When we group by a department, we collate all the products of that department. If there is more than one product then all the products will be listed for the corresponding department. Hope this helps!
