Information Society, Depeche Mode, Tears For Fears, Spandau Ballet, Howard Jones, Wham! Genesis, The Fixx, Duran Duran. All crucial pieces to what made me become an avid music lover as a child. Nothing else comes close to the sound these new-wave groups had back in the day. Such captivating energy, passion, deliverance and presentation in these wonderful songs. They are so well-constructed and unique. So unlike anything else you will ever hear today! such an incredible sound that leaves you wanting more! Their music was amazing to hear back then, and still is now. Timeless music never dies!
@@thumper300zx Absolutely! Add New Order in as well. I still play and enjoy all of their albums. Low Life is my favorite record by them. Excellent stuff!
They are real professionals, the only tech band that played live, and even better than the original song. In Chile we danced their songs in the 80's and 90's.
Yeah, I saw them live in a club. They were mostly using the drum-pad samplers (including Kurt), triggering all the samples and building the loops as they were going. BTW: You might be interested in Thomas Dolby's "Sole Inhabitant" shows (lots of videos here on YT). More electronic music created live.
Ah yes, the good ol' days when Kurt Larson was Kurt Valaquen! I have such a huge crush on that dude. These guys are so freaking cool, been a fan since childhood!
I mean can you get any more badass creative than this? What music groups are this talented where they play their own instruments perfectly in sync with one another and sing live like this?
AMO AMO AMO A VOZ DELE E AS BATIDAS, PRA MIM ELES SÃO OS MELHORES DA EPOCA DELES, JUNTAMENTE COM O HOD STWART!!!!! 🌏🌎🌍👁️👁️👁️👀👀👀👀🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭👍😂😂😂😂🤭🔊🔊🔊🔊💙♥️🤩🤜🤛
I loved their music. Cool use of samples. Interesting and quirky songs, for example their song "A Knife, a fork and bottle and a cork". I never thought sampling was a flash in the pan. I thought and still think it's an interesting technique in electronic music that would still be interesting now. There's so many options for how to use it in a piece of music.
I'm from Miami and I saw them Live at a Teen club when the local Radio station broke their song "Running" first nationwide. It was funny because they were using Ironing boards as their Keyboard stands! And Yes they played their instruments Live.....INSOC 4 EVER!
PURE ENERGY.. I Don't like Music.. 😆 🤣 😂 Let's Go see 👀 It's impossible for someone Don't like these kind band.. Your guys rocking.. 👦 RIP Sally - Berg On the Drumbeat
Ele nunca sorri, no show no rock in Rio em momento algum o Kurt sorriu. Porém o que era pra ser algo antipático se torna até engraçado. E até hj ele é assim.
i heard those guys for firts time 28 years ago was working as a bartender and i said those are two step ahead of the future! the concept was too clear.
His recovery was well done and professional, even though he messed up the lyrics. I loved it as it really proved he was singing live and sounded amazing.
Amo!!!
It's so weird that they were being mean to the host. I mean, in the context of the age this was recorded, it was a pretty big deal to be on MTV, but they treated the host like dirt and Kurt was posturing like he was angry and bored. Why would you try to act like Johnny Rotten when you are doing soft synth covers of Abba?
they are time travellers planted in the past by the CIA to capitalize on conspiracy minded youth in early 21st century harharhar they already knew all the stuff that was gunna happen from 2012-2020's they're bored like "do we really have to do this" hence the Star Trek sound clips
@@velveetaslingshot That's just the way Kurt's personality has always been. It's just his nature to be sarcastic, and it rubs some the wrong way. At least he's honest though rather than be someone he's not.
If they're from Minneapolis, why do they sound like a British band while signing?? Were they trying to emulate the British 80s sound? It's just strange.
moore ae2002 the British hit everyone with Punk, New Wave & Synthpop for a decade, so tons of bands over here emulated British styles,, the sounds, the clothes, the hair, the visuals 🎯📻📡🎼🎧🍺🍸
They are from Minneapolis so what did you expect them to sound like? ....PRINCE?...just kidding but British New Wave had a profound influence in America during the 80's...so can you fault us for liking good music? Peace!
