Every legislative session ends amidst the ashes of bills that were talked about and debated but that died in the end; but then there are the newly sprouted rules that deal with new issues or try to fix old problems. We will look at the legislative session just past and at the performance of a new governor whose agenda included making change in New Orleans including its sewerage and water board,
We will also analyze the New Orleans police department’s consent decree and where it stands. In Kenner the local casino now stands firmly on the land rather than in a boat and in Eastern New Orleans developers are hoping that the former Six Flags site can be a treasure chest of its own.
