Shame Bryan wasn't there in person. Would have been curious to see a live debate of him with Andrew Steele, who did a fairly critical video of him if I'm not mistaken.
Yes, it was a shame. He said he’s committed to never flying more than two time zones which I think we can at least agree is at least probably good for his longevity!
@@DrAndrewSteele Being at that conference might have made him connections valuable enough to more than offset the effects of the time zone change on his longevity.
@@yourbrain8700 Yeah, similar to the way I worry that, even if Blueprint works (which is pretty uncertain!) the wider damage to the field’s reputation might actually reduce how long he lives… :/
What I find interesting is that while there are some animals that do not age at least in terms of diseases of aging they still as a group die at a similar age for their species. So we even if we solve diseases of aging it will not stop an animal from dying from being old. (excluding very primitive systems like the hydra or some jellyfish)
