Singapore is an International Financial Hub . There is nothing substantial that Singapore can offer you in terms of Trade & Culture . Coming to the education part , Singapore has English as medium of instruction in all Schools Their native languages (Malay , Tamil , Singaporean Mandarin etc ) are for sake of learning a Language as a subject Not medium of education unlike West Bengal . Are you ready to take this measure and change all Bangla medium schools to English schools and teach Bangla as a separate language subject only . If not then stop dreaming . About Financial Cities Among 121 Global Financial Cities of the world GIFT , Mumbai & Delhi is from India . Kolkata is not even in the 10 cities under assesment for Global Financial City status . Karachi is upcoming Global Financial City it is under assesment now by International Agencies . Calcutta being second biggest Financial hub after London during the British Raj has been reduced to oblivion . So go through facts not be generalised stereotypes about rest of India . You never bothered much about the status of Bengal Because it was all established by British & Financially managed by immigrants . As you know , Just like A factory owner who built his empire from his sweat & Sacrifices will be more anguished & regretful in downfall due to his failures Compared to staffs it hires . For you The downfall of Calcutta was just about unemployment. Even today you people discuss the status of unemployment in Kolkata only . Learn From Marathis They are developing cities after cities . Awesome news indeed. But the only thing is creating confusion is that how the 50 acres of campus is only capable of creating 3100 employment. It should be 15000 at least, as every 50 acres of campus in other cities offers. I hope it does not turn out as mere eyewash since Infy wasn't able to get SEZ approval after prolonged negotiation from our beloved CM. My understanding might be wrong & there may be some more news yet to be unfolded.

@@priyanshumishra5778 you can’t expect good things from a self-centric person with 0 business knowledge. The only reason to not give SEZ is that her income will be reduced. She only thinks about her profit, intentionally pushing an entire generation towards the dark. Even she is reluctant to give the SEZ to Wipro. For this people like us have to leave our homes. If she had allowed sez for both of these companies, 50 to 60k employment could have been created. Nobody asks these questions at the time of election.

@@aritradas4617 Sez means no or low taxes for that company which is not needed for a big company like Infosys or wipro. Sez is only needed for small companies or startups. Without tax from big companies a large chunk of a state's income will be gone. When people talk about things getting more expensive due to increased GST, huge petrol prices due to taxes, high car prices due to HUGE taxes, people say that we should not talk about high prices because high prices increase the income of a country, so if income is the main goal then not giving big companies Sez status so that they give proper taxes is a good decision.
