At first, I was considering a Hybrid Camry. After viewing some programs, I heard one of the presenters say the Avalon is a stretched Camry and I was hooked. Took several months of shopping online to find one that was not black, white or gray. On 12/20/21 I took possession of my maroon Avalon XLE Hybrid. I've been driving since 1966 and its my favorite car ever, hands down.
The Avalon is a really good car. Typical Toyota quality and reliability and an awesome highway cruiser. Congrats on your Avalon and thanks for watching
I just purchased a 2020 Avalon Hybrid Limited. I have been pouring over the 558 page owners manual and 326 page multimedia guide for 2 weeks. Your video was much more informative!! THANK YOU!! Love the car. Great ride and super quiet. The trunk is the same size as the gas model. And the Hybrid is only $1000 (MSRP) more than the gas model. Toyota has increased the coverage on hybrid-related components, including the hybrid battery, battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter, from 8 years or 100,000 miles, to 10 years from date of first use, or 150,000 miles whichever comes first.
Congratulations on your new Avalon. It’s a great car. I’d buy one in a heartbeat. Nathan does a great job covering the infotainment systems and we appreciate your kind words. As for the hybrid system coverage I think Toyota is rightfully confident in their systems to be able to safely stand by them longer nowadays. Thanks for watching
This car doesn't play nice with Android (the most prevalent OS in the world). You said that you can use Bluetooth to access apps on Android, but you can do so only with heavy limitations. For me, here in Hawaii, they, for the most part, simply don't work. My interactions with Toyota to get the infotainment system working have not been helpful at all. If you are an "Android" user, buyer beware.
Thanks for the question. There’s some differences but in the whole their similar. A new trd trim level was introduced in 2020, Apple CarPlay became standard as well in 2020. The redesign came in 2019 so again pretty much the same. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. Those are ambient lights and will go off automatically after a minute or so when the car is shut off. You can adjust the brightness of the ambient lights by pressing on the "Mood" button on the ceiling by the sunglass storage area. I'm not positive if that will turn it all the way off. If that does not turn the lights all the way off, then you would need to bring it to your dealership to have them turn the lights off. Not sure why Toyota does not allow the driver to do this from the infotainment screen but according to the manual it has to be done by the dealership. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
@@TwoGuysandaRide I just bought one today. I was researching it and your video was very helpful. I will be coming back to it again multiple times as I learn the Infotainment System.
I bought one of these in February and found all of the systems very intuitive but this video is an excellent short course and refresher. The rear cross traffic system Can distinguish between cars and people and can see around the two Escalades which i usually find on either side. Safety systems really work on this car and it is quieter at speed than an EV. Don’t know how they did that!
Many many thanks for such a quick reply...Followed your directions, and we will see how this works when we are on the road. Again...many many thanks!🌷💗🌷
I am having trouble hearing the navigational directions when radio is on...is there a way to bring the volume up on the navigational alerts? Thank you!
Thanks for the question. To adjust your navigation voice prompts click the “menu” button the left side of your infotainment screen, then on the screen click on “settings “, under settings click on “voice” then the top item should be “voice volume”. Click on the little down arrow just the right of the number and select a higher number. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Hello, can you show how to set up the Sport mode permanently? I hate it every time get into the car, I have to push the Sport button all the time. Thank you.
Should be showing a front on view of the dashboard. It very hard to see what the guy is taking about and it makes the explanation very confusing. This is an extremely poor review. The guy should have gone through the options first on his own and learned then first and then demonstrate instead of muddling through features. This could have been much better and helpful.
Thanks for the feedback. We are always looking to improve the way we deliver information and have already implemented your suggestions on reviews that we filmed after this one. See how we're already working to do a better job. Check out this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_m3pWLSG6UU.html at 1 minute 42 seconds mark Thanks for watching!
