OMG I am you; you are me! I cannot believe all the parallels that we've had in our journeys through life. I rarely, if ever, meet people to whom I can deeply relate, so listening to you is kinda blowing my mind, LOL. INFP kindred spirits!

As an INFP, I believe the Fi makes me come across as very egoic, without being egotistical. I have a hard time communicating without using first-person pronouns excessively. Much of the talking I do about myself is with the intention of sharing a perspective that I'm hoping will resonate with someone, not the intention of turning the conversation toward myself.

I'm blown away by this interview! I relate to the unconventional lifestyle, the organizing aspect, sovergnty, relating to others through my own experience. I'm 59...I started following my intuition about 4 years ago...everything before that felt forced, inauthentic and constrained. Thank you for sharing! I feel a soulful connection to you!

I think im starting to understand how age affects the growth of our inferior functions. From Dana's story that comes to light. Also quite interesting that she mistyped as a sensor initially.

That's me. I come home from work & don't want to do jack shit lol & friends who have dreams too & don't live a conventional life are not always understanding of that. yeah I have the creativity & light & power but I guess just taking that big step out on a limb is the biggest decision & you'll really know then if you trust yourself or not . I feel I'm building myself up to that point.

What INFPs don't realize is the heart is deceptive.

Of course we know that. That’s excactly why we spend so much time analysing it in all of its facets. Trying to get to the core of our true motivations.

And here I am in opposite going from the heart. The mind can fend for itself.

P to J is a scale.. if she is at or near the middle can't she be both?
@ebut73uoy
@ebut73uoy 2 года назад
@chips falling: She can only be one, P or J. The scale you’re presented with after doing an mbti test is only a tool presenting the PROBABILITY she is J or P, based on the questions in the test. Being near to the middle simply means your answers don’t reveal a clear tendency, making it harder to tell. But you can definitely only be J or P, because you can’t have TWO extroverted functions on top (What the J and the P means, is which one of your top two functions is the extroverted one - your perceiving function (P) or your judging function (J)) In other words - INFP’s and INFJ’s both have intuition (N) and feeling (F) among their top two preferred functions. Intuition is about how they (preferably) perceive, feeling is about how to make decisions (judgements). The P means an INFP has EXTROVERTED intuition (Ne), while J means the INFJ has extroverted feeling (Fe) and thus introverted intuition. So, the top two functions of an INFP are Fi + Ne, while the infj has Ni + Fe. Makes a lot of difference although it may not appear that way initially… :-)

@@ebut73uoy yes you’re correct in what you said, if you only have one personality. I would add that it’s very possible to have multiple personalities, so one could be INFP and the other INFJ. Many people who have multiple personalities don’t know they do.

I'm an INFP but don't really relate to this person I think because her TE is more developed, I don't know. Everyone is different even if they have the same type but I would like to hear from a more definite INFP (not sure if that is the best term but hopefully you understand what I am trying to say).

You may find it helpful to look into the 4 subtypes Dominant, Creative,Normalising and Harmonising as for me it clarified why as an INFP I never felt it was a great fit(it was a good fit but something was off) then I saw videos on the subtypes and Normalising fits better and explains a few contradictions

She’s a great example of how we are not one stereotype and also how childhood and environment can shape the cognitive functions within each type. She has given me hope that I can develop areas I have stagnation.
