Well I call her gaia and maybe one of her daughters became the alpha female along with her mate 🤔 and we actually find out that one or maybe more brachiosaurus were saved and maybe they they got the DNA from the brachiosaurus who died in the lavaflow and they might bring her back
It is my head cannon that all the singular brachiosaurus scenes are the same one eg The welcome scene Tug of war with a Dino And the last dinosaur on nublar
The scenes with the Brachiosaurs in the first film are some of my top favorite moments in the series. I especially loved the part where Dr. Grant and the kids got feed and pet one of these giants. It really brought that magical feel of interacting with a living (non-avian) dinosaur.
I teared up at the dock scene in fallen kingdom. When it reared up on it's hind legs I instantly thought of the brachy in jp1. When I learned it was indeed the same one later on I couldn't believe it at first.
Look I hate to admit it, but the death of the original Brachiosaurus in Fallen Kingdom still tears me up to this very day. That animal in particular made one of the biggest moments in all of the franchise back in 1993. I had very fond memories of the first film and just to watch it die on Nublar as the ship left was heartbreaking. Their is no doubt in my mind, that Brachiosaurus is most important and famous sauropods in all of the Jurassic Franchise.
I am so glad I'm not the only who gets teary when watching that scene! You feel her isolation and her knowledge of her own impending doom, and it's just...It's heartbreaking. It reminds me of the dino-capture scene in LW when they yank the feet out from under that one, whose species name currently escapes me, and it hits the ground. That effected me very deeply. I was around eight, I think, at the time. And when the Brachiosaurus gets to the edge of the island, in the smoke, and flame, and she cries out, I just...Ohh, my feels.
In your videos on theropods you sometimes list the ways in which Ingen messed up the accuracy of its dinosaurs, but you unfortunately didn't do that here, so I just want to list the most interesting differences between Ingen's Brachiosaurus and the real one: - Ingen's Brachiosaurus has a shrink-wrapped face and its fleshy nostrils sit right on top of its head like a blowhole. Today it is thought that the fleshy nostrils of most sauropods were located more to the front of the snout, like in most other animals, while the bony nostrils were shaped in such a weird way because they housed large soft-tissue-structures like inflatable air-sacks. - Ingen's Brachiosaurus has claws on all its fingers. Most sauropods, Brachiosaurus included, actually did not have claws on their front feet except for a single thumb-claw.
I might add that its neck is a bit too vertical. Brachiosaur-grade macronarian sauropods do have somewhat upright stances, but the way the Ingen _Brachiosaurus_ holds its neck is a bit too extreme. The Ingen _Brachiosaurus_ also has a hump-like section right above the posterior dorsal section of its back, which seems to be the result of shrink-wrapping from the neck. From what we know of sauropod musculoskeletal anatomy, it would have had a ton of muscle running down from its neck to its back, creating a smooth transition from neck to back without creating the appearance of a pronounced hunch on its back. static.squarespace.com/static/51bf1cd3e4b0a897bf54112b/51bf573ae4b090c42fe6a2ff/52e140ade4b012e6d957a48a/1390493910134/Brachiosaurus.jpg
You mean the Brachi will still live on!?🥺🙂 That would be so cool to see a new clone of a “proper” up to date Brachi clone in JP6. Like walking in a giant redwood forest next to ancient trees......
That brachiosaur scene in Fallen Kingdom hurt my soul. That idea that the last brachiosaur we see is supposedly the same one from the famous scene in Jurassic Park just makes it worse.
Been a time since I came and it was all at 0. And to one of the most magnificent creatures of JP. Here's to our childhood and adulthood friend. Well never forget you. Also. "Enjoyed" is a STRONG word.
Perhaps my favorite dinosaur that I declare to be the best in the herbivore family :) Seeing her in Jurassic Park was a dream come true, and seeing her die in Fallen Kingdom made me cry like a little girl at a One Direction concert! Fun video! :)
Brachiosaurus brings a smile to my face everytime I see or hear it mentioned. Brings back so many memories. Easily Jurassic Park's most beautiful creature.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that a museum of natural history put a giant sports jersey on the brachiosaur out... I don't even like sportsball but I think that is the just coolest thing.
During the death scene of the Brac. I started crying so hard, it was like a end of an era of peace and wonder. I'm actually painting that scene. I have been working on it since I watched the movie.
Oh thank god! Klayton thank you! I was so terrified that all living species of this animal were extincted as of the death of isla nublar i had no idea that one was actually shipped out on the Arcadia!
Honestly Brachiosaurus and similar dinosaurs have always amazed me even more than T-Rex and Spinosaurs and all the famous dinosaurs. They are so gigantic that they look alien to me, its like a giant godzilla.
Klayton you've done it again. Another great vid & yes I for one love the Brachiosaurus, it's my 2nd favorite sauropod next to Diplodocus & Apatosaurus being #1.
When my copy of JW Evolution kept crashing, my dear friend helped me get it running again.. I named the first Brachiosaur I created after him in gratitude!
I remember reading somewhere that the DNA they used came from specimens in Africa, meaning it was actually Giraffatitan (sp?) that we always saw in the franchise.
One of my favorite sauropods in the world!! I have 5 Brachiosaurus from the Carnegie Collection!! And 1 from the Safari Ltd toy line! My life changed when I saw this animal on the big screen!!😁😁😁😁
Being someone who lives in Morrison and works with the Morrison formation and paleontologists I feel like the Jurassic dinosaurs in this franchise are pretty good in terms of accuracy. I feel that the Brachiosaurus is probably the best portrayed dinosaur in the whole franchise.
You may like the following: Ten years ago when my niece was a newborn, I would hold her close and make the sounds of the Brachiosaurus. I’d make those sounds as she fall asleep on my chest. To this day, she loves to hear me make sounds like that. Love that little girl. And yes, she likes the Jurassic Movies.
Awesome video Klayton!! I was wondering if you read The Evolution Of Claire yet? There’s some good information on the brachiosauruses of Jurassic World and one of the earliest Raptors for the IBRIS project
I'm pretty sure the Brachiosaurus is my favorite sauropod, BECAUSE of Jurassic Park. :3 Also, I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on the Mattel toy of it.
I hope the Brachiosaurus will make a return in Jurassic World 3 because it would make so many fans happy. Myself included because that scene in Fallen Kingdom was sad.
I think on Sorna there are still brachiosaurus there, living happily.Brachiosaurus are extremely big, and since we saw Wheatleys men only could capture a few small juvenile sauropods, I think it’s likely Masrani also decided to leave the big sauropods on the island because they were too big and heavy to be transported between islands.
Because of this being the first we ever saw in the series it made us tear up when the one was engulfed by the volcano in FK and worse when we found out it was the orginal from the first. I love it and would like it in some action at some point. whether a mod for JWE where it can stomp on small dinos like troodon by accident or in the next movie if it cause chaos in a town or city by accident. Power to the Brachy. :D
Oh the many suaropods... Yeah, I like Brachiosaurus more than the others. It feels majestic, in a way. Sure we have other dinosaurs to see, but... To me, The Brachiosaurus definitely says, upon sight, 'Welcome to Jurassic Park'.
