Parents in Inglewood are concerned about the possibility of more school closures after officials at the school district shared they have an announcement to make. Darsha Philips reports for the NBC4 News on March 13, 2024.
For those that don't have transportation and can't move your kids to another school district or for families that don't have the money to move should not have to SAVE MORNINGSIDE HIGH our Community needs that school. I will fight because I'm born and raised in Inglewood and I graduated from Morningside High in 97 and will continue being an advocate for my community ✊🏽
The school district is trash they don’t educate our children, they train them to be test takers and end up failing in society. Better leadership in the district is key with the right people overseeing the funds that need to be allocated .
Its all policies. They have the funds , but the funds gos inside someones pockets ! Cummunity Get involved , because upper staff employees will walk out with the funds like nothing happened 💯🙏
We don’t even own our own district we have been in receivership for 12 years so the state make all our choices we need to get that control back and unite as parents because we are there biggest advocates for our children and the same thing is happening in Oakland
Hudnall elementary is one of the schools that are being closed. My two children used to attend at school. They were told about this news because they’re told them. They are not attending hudnall Elementary anymore. They left that school last year. They are attending a different school in LA. But it is unfortunate and my heart goes out to the parents that are still attending hudnall and will now have to find a new school for the children to go to. 2:35
It's time for the parents to start holding themselves accountable for all of this. Their apparent inability to raise their kids properly for the past 2 generations was what led to this eventual outcome. As a former Inglewood resident of 34 years, I have only two words to say about these so-called "schools" closing down: GOOD RIDDANCE!!! 😌🏫💩🧻🚽👋
It’s. It that easy to move. Rent and home prices are through the roof. The local government and the school district needs to do more. They don’t care about the residents because they are people of color.
