Country singer Ingrid Andress is receiving criticism online for her rendition of the National Anthem at the 2024 Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas on July 15. The country star takes to her social media accounts on July 16 to admit that she was intoxicated while singing the National Anthem and says she is planning to check into a rehab facility.

Claiming intoxication is no excuse for not being able to carry a tune. Not only does this "singer" rely on an autotune, she shows up to work drunk. That's two strikes.

People keep comparing this to Fergie's but this one was worse. IMO Fergie has a good singing voice, but it was the WAY she sang it, she was trying to do too much. Ingrid was completely off key, I honestly think she was drunk or something, she even looked out of it.

She just admitted she was drunk and checking into rehab. Some of her country singer friends are complaining about the viewers and fans. Did they stop to think the girl should have stayed home. Some are comparing her to Fergie, but, she sounded more like Roseanne Barr. Rehab and a watchful eye that cares cause Ingrid was completely off key and an embarrassment.

Jesus I am not even an American Citizen and I find it extremely disrespectful. When you are invited to sing the national anthem why not wait till after you are done singing to have a few drinks when watching the game.?

Not nice!!!!! Dissing anyone for honestly singing the National Anthem is wrong. There was no ill intent here. At a time where there is talk of changing the National Anthem, or also playing the "black" national anthem, or the taking a knee during, or the players not attending the singing of, is NOT the time to criticize the sing ability of the selected performer. ALL renditions are beautiful, if given from a pure heart.
