Heard this song off of Grey's as well. That show always has the best songs playing in it! I have a whole Grey's Anatomy playlist, that I add to almost constantly!
Reminds me of Jane Eyre. It's like Jane is singing this to Rocherster while she's teaching in that Scottish village after she ran away from him. And from 1:47 it reminds me of the time she hears his voice through hundreds of miles and promises him she'd come back, how she couldn't turn against her heart and marry Saint John after all and how she runs back to him but this time he has become readier for a more honest relationship with her.
When I went to Summer camp Chauncey this summer, my camp consular would sing this to us every night while playing on her guitar. She had such a beautiful voice. I remember one night, my stomach was killing me because of a stomach virus that was going around, and she had starting singing this, and she didn't notice, but I started crying a little :) I felt a little better.
There isn't a word in the English language that is expressive enough to convey exactly how much I love this song. I can listen to it 50 times on a loop and never get tired of it. Bravo, Ingrid, bravo.
You said it. God she is so talented. I dont know why she is so underrated. But then again i love it that way. Real fans are the only ones who ard gonna lovd her music.
my music teacher made my whole class listen to this song. at first i didnt like the at all but after going on youtube and looking up the song i fell in love with this song. i started listening to ingrid michaelson's songs and i fell in love with them. her and regina are now one of my most liked artist.
Achingly beautiful, expressive in a way that captures feeling so many of us can relate to, and just quirky enough to be interesting...love it, love it, love it.
This is the only song I can play on piano all the way through, and it seems to be impressing a lot of people. especially people I'm rather fond of. It's so simple and beautiful and sweet and I just swoon every time I hear/play/sing it (which is quite frequently, at this point).
Oh My GOD! This song is sooo much more intense than the live version and I LOVE IT!!! I'm so used to the Be OK version of this song.... wow the chills I just got from listening to this song were amazing! Ingrid Michaelson is such a fantastic musician
Oh, yeah! Regina! I love her too! Ingrid and Regina are both wonderful artists. Both their names are German names, lol. Interesting tidbit for the day folks. I remember a comment saying their voices sounded alike? I don't think that's true. They have different qualities in their voices that make them individualistic.
This is my life. This was my solo song for dance competitions and it was amazing. I really got into the song cus I live it full out. But now my chain is off and I have my love.
