the explanation is actually pretty accurate. sukajan really has a strange, paradoxical backstory which makes it truly unique.

Great report! And tho not officially a Sukojan cause there was no fancy stitching, don't forget the satin jacket trend of the '70s / '80s that shows like Charlie's Angels popularized.

it's nice to see an analysis of this, but since Google has access through this new we wear culture program to actual museum examples of garments, why weren't they used in the video?

I always thought these were called bomber jackets! At least that's what everyone calls them..
