Inhumanoids TV Series Review 

I remember my father bought me the Decompose toy just because he thought it looked really cool. Honestly, he was right. How many other toys had rib cages you could open to imprison your weaker toys inside? After he bought it, my father started watching the show with me. He thought it was just the coolest thing ever. Ya, I had a great childhood.

*Inhumanoids:* The most underrated 1980s cartoon.

Only 13 episodes? I waited in vain for another episode when I was a kid. Back then, you didn't know a show was canceled, you just knew something was right when another show started in the time slot.

I'd love to see a Netflix Castlevania thing done with this one. Never watched it as it didn't come to Brazil, but it looks rad.

In a alternate reality Guillermo Del Toro did a live action film of this.

This needs a hard R remake!

We might see a resurgence of Inhumanoids in the near future. IDW has comic publishing rights to Hasbro priorities and they've so far combined Transformers, GI Joe, M.A.S.K., Rom: Space Knight, Micronauts, and Action Man into a single universe. In December they're adding Visionaries to that roster and there was some hint to Inhumanoids. The only other Hasbro owned properties I'd say belong there are C.O.P.S. and Centurions (which Hasbro should own after buying Kenner all those years ago). On the movie side, they're working on a similar grouping minus Transformers (no Action Man or Inhumanoids though).

Inhumanoids, Dino-Riders, Ghostbusters, G.I. Joe, Transformers, ThunderCats, Thundarr The Barbarian, He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe, Toxic Crusaders, and Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes are some of my most memorable and fondest memories growing up. I don't really know why Inhumanoids didn't do so well. I guess it was just too awesome for the kids, or their parents freaked and didn't allow them to watch it back then.

I also loved this show. There was a running gag where Auger always broke the TV when watching the news.

You should review Fist of the North Star someday when you have the time,loved Inhumanoids back in the day. Ken punches people in the face and their heads explode.....YEAH!!

Yup, being a child of the 80's, we had the best toys and cartoons. Inhumanoids, Visionaries, Sky Commandos, Spiral Zone. And the weird off shoot toys that you'd find at a Kay-Bee store. Best era for toys ever. So much creativity and imagination came from that period and right into toy lines. Late 80's and early 90's had that weird He-Man line too, some kind of futuristic He-Man with all new villians and heros.

It's better for the show not to be remade, especially a movie made by Michael Bay. These cartoons don't need to be ruined by corporate idiots.

If Inhumanoids does make a comeback, it will probably end up as part of the Hasbroverse. Currently, Hasbro has melded their IP they own into one universe. This are Transformers,G.I. Joe,M.A.S.K,Rom the Spaceknight,Actionman and Micronauts. Of course this is only in comic form done by IDW Publishing.

I had Decompose, and Tendril. My G.I. Joe's never stood a chance.

Man, I miss the 80's. Back when you could put this stuff on TV and not have to worry about someone getting offended by it. Think you could do more little known/forgotten 80's cartoons? I vaguely remember a series called Robotix which had aliens transferring their minds into machines...at least I think that's what happened.

Just met James at Too Many Games this weekend and asked him what show from the 80s/90s was he surprised never got a video game adaptation. I said Saved By The Bell and he of course said Inhumanoids. I told him he was the one that put me onto the show and he smiled and said really? Cool!!!

This series deserves a crossover with either the Ghostbusters cartoon or Fist of the North Star.

This and Thundarr the Barbarian were two of my favorites from back then, and they're both largely underappreciated. Dark, adventurous, and weird. Good stuff.

holy shit, this looks awesome, i guess the gore and violence was just too much to catch on. anyways i would love to hear more reviews on old cartoons, the 80's and 90's was the shit for cartoons.

My favorite show when I was a kid, and nobody I know has ever heard of it.

One of my favorites as a kid! I thought everyone forgot about this show.

With Hasbro making their own cinematic universe, I'd love to see these guys as the villains of the final phase. Yeah, Hasbro's doing a cinematic universe, starting with Micronauts in 2020, then GI Joe later that same year. In 2021, Dungeons and Dragons will be getting a new movies in that universe, and later that same year, Mt Little Pony will be joining the roster. The crossover's should be quite... interesting. But save the Inhumanoids for the final phase, once all the more popular villains have had their fun.

This is something from my youth that until today only was a fuzzy hazy memory. I loved this cartoon when I saw it and had some of the toys but I completely forgot about the details till just now. Thanks Cinemassacre !

I don't remember the show as well but I do remember having the toys. I remember how the inhumanoids were so much bigger than the human characters. I also remember Madballs ( the ones with bodies and heads that could could shoot off and hurt) and Rock Lords. Oh the nostalgia. Thank you for bringing back fine memories.

Yes! I used to get the VHS's from the library all the time, this show was so ballsy and amazing I still remember it to this day!

I loved this cartoon as a kid. I had the toys of Decompose and Metlar(as well as a few of the good guys).

Whenever I remember Inhumanoids I always go back to that scene where Decompose turns that chick into some giant zombie thingy. That served as some pretty good nightmare fuel for a while as a kid.....

I remember this show fondly, I had a good number of the figures, including the three main antagonist, those figures were frickin' awesome!

I used to have a toy of Metlar as a kid. Didn't know what he was from until now, lol. He was a badass figure. Wish I still has him.

Still have my UK DVD of this. I remember owning the VHS 'film' when I was a young kid and wore it out - one of the only tapes I actually did that with.

I used to watch this all the time as a kid. Recently downloaded it about a year ago and rewatched!

Wasn't it paired with Bigfoot and Defenders of the Earth (and sometimes with Jem) on a segment called Super Saturday or something like that? That zombie T-Rex made me wanna puke when he held hostages inside his ribcage...

I not only remember Inhumanoids, but I still have one of the tree guys... those toys were rad and the show was ahead of it's time.

It's funny, I had a memory of a huge skeleton putting a human in his rib "cage" but didn't know the show. Growing up, no one knew what I was taking about so I eventually convinced myself it must have been a twisted dream. It wasn't until AVGN mentioned Inhumanoids a while back that I was finally brought closure on this.

Awesome this. One of my many 80's favorites. Silver Hawks, Spiral Zone, Visionaries, Bravestar, Dino Riders, Sky Commanders, MASK, and many more. AWESOME decade for cartoons.

Check this out, this tv show was broadcasted in my country (Costa Rica) during the 80's. No one! Seems to remember it! And I've asked many ppl about it. I guess the reason is that the parents didn't allow kids to watch it XD

Someone should get what’s left of the team, or get a team to replicate the animation style and make a reboot for it, maybe even on Adult Swim. That would be kick ass.

Oh man! I was searching this cartoon for a long time and I could'nt remember much. I do remember the monster that was eating people and see them being digested in his transparent stomach... that was gruesome! Thanks for the memory!

Anyone remember Inhumanoids was on You Can't Do That On Television? Tendral toy was in a filing cabinet.

I remember the Inhumanoids quite well, along with all of its cousins, the Visionaries, the Silverhawks, the Sky Commanders and so many others. What made Inhumanoids stand out, as the video makes clear, is the horror slant. Those shadows were among the heaviest for children's shows at the time, Ralph Bakshi or Fist of the North Star not included of course. Inhumaniods! The evil that lies within!

I had a VHS version of the series condensed into a 90 minute movie. The story rocketed at a breathtaking pace.

Ahhh I vaguely remember watching this when I was a kid. But probably never saw it more than twice. I particularly remember the blue knight looking fella.

Pretty much some very good 80's cartoons are now rare cult classics. I remember shows like The Spiral Zone, Centurions, SilverHawks, MASK, Dinosaucers, Sky Commanders, Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future (not exactly a cartoon, and the title alone was a mouthful), The Super 7, Thundarr the Barbarian, and Visioniaries: Knights of the Magical Light.

I once recall board james mentioning this show in that episode with fireball island, had no idea what he was talking about

The most interesting thing about this series is that it's a Kaiju series where the Monsters are basically SUPERVILLAINS, not mindless beasts. That'd be a heck of an idea to implement in a live action film like, these MASSIVE, cruel terrorists attacking our planet and humanity's last hope is an elite squad of soldiers that pale in comparison to their size.

Kids today are missing out on 80s treasures like these.. tragic

I haven't watched the show. But I did have the Metlar and Tendril figures. But I never knew who the heck they were from since they were gifted to us loose without the boxes. They were pretty cool toys though. We had fun playing with them.

Man this show makes Sonic Satam look like a lighthearted comedy in comparison. I mean Sandra’s transformation into that hideous monster by being touched by D’compose made robotization look painless in comparison.
