Got pretty dicey one night. Multiple tornado warnings and sirens. Slept about two hours. Power held strong. Really good local utility power company in my little city, which is a huge boon. Still, reefing in the south and Midwest can get pretty nerve-wracking during storm seasons.
Agreed. I haven’t bought coral in nearly a year. I rarely buy. I wait for a super good sale, or go to a frag fest in the closing hours and scoop the discounted stuff. Lol. I am not picky about my coral, so it works out.
Of the two mobile operating systems I had to choose from, yes, I “chose” Apple. I had a WebOS device before that, and WindowsPhone device before that. Both of which I loved. Both of which fell to the might of Apple and Google, leaving me with a duopoly that I could choose between. I have the same problem with American government. I have effectively two options. It’s not enough options. It’s too much control. It encourages stagnation and poor rate of innovation and low ROI for the end user.
Probably worth noting, though, that your argument, or whatever it is, isn’t really applicable to our small reefing hobby market, or what Aperture is doing. But I despise concentration of market options, in the hands of people who wield vast wealth and power. It never leads to the greater good of normal people. I’ll leave it at that. @@kalamazoo_reefer Ditching Top Shelf Aquatics because they might feature Aperture’s gear doesn’t make much sense. It’s like refusing to shop at your favorite coral spot just because they display a big brand's products. These major suppliers often have the best tech that helps keep the corals thriving. If TSA is rolling with Aperture's stuff, they’re probably doing it because it ups their game. Turning your back on them for that? You might just be cutting off your nose to spite your face.
