Hello, I would like to thank you so much for this video demonstration. I bought this machine 10 years ago when I'm moving to my new apartment and I realized that I was not using it correctly all this time. Thanks to you in this video I was able to clean out the bottom compartment and realized why my carpet was not getting as clean as I thought it should have been. It was horribly clogged up and I was able to pull all the old carpet fibers, hair, dirt and whatever else out with my finger. So thank you so much for this tutorial. God bless you.
This was even more helpful than the first demo I watched. In fairness I didn’t watch all available. I was only interested in how much cleaner to use, but you told me things I didn’t know I needed to know!
Why does there always have to be dislikes on these types of videos, especially videos trying help people out. The 41 dislikes are some shallow people... It's a good video with good info. Ty for your time.
I just bought 1 at ollie’s for 84.99 It’s light weight easy to use and easy to clean I have 2 cats it brought up a lot of cat hair and I vacuum every other day I liked it I used to have a bigger 1 but was to heavy Each one is different and you have to choose the best one for you this one’s pretty good. Small and easy to use Mrs C. Loved it
Just bought one today at Walmart! Amazing product $124. Working on my living room carpet and never realized just how dirty it was! Way more efficient than the Rug-Doctor. Only downside, I wish the water tank was bigger.
Thank you for SHARING your Wisdom and Lessons Learned ... as I like to do and say ... Share your Unique Knowledge DONT take it to the Grave ... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance to ALL who may View this Comment
I jyst bought mine may 2020 for $70 first time using you helped me out it together and use. Thank you thank you for showing the way way and each and everything don't think you left anything out.
Use peroxide to help fight the organic staining from the poop. I use peroxide in a spray bottle and pretreat the area then I go over it with the machine. Test peroxide in an inconspicuous spot for staining/ discoloration first
Thank you for the tips on using the machine gonna try adding fragrance oil to water have eucalyptus oil to bag I have a Pro aqua but has no heater Love this machine.
I have this one and I have a very love mainly hate relationship with it. The front clear suction nozzle has broken and been replaced 5 times in 6 months that part is cheaply made. And you have to refill the one tank bladder system constantly. But other than that it works well and cleans good.
Hey Dan ... got a tip for ya' ... if you have a dog that sheds, pickup a rubber bladed window squeegee ... drag it across the carpet, and watch it magically pull up gobs of hair.
Does this need cleaned out? I have my mom’s. It’s only been used twice. Although it’s a few years old. I’m seeing dog hair coming out in clumps on the floor. Should we r have been cleaned after the last use?
I love mine also. I have a question ghat I hope you can answer because I cannot find the info anywhere. When you turn the switch to tools does the brush stop spinning?
Too weird, we just bought this exact unit today from wally world and then this vlog popped up when I gazoogled the Bissell home page to reg the unit. I gotta say this thing surprised the hell out of me. It made muddy water almost instantly, even after vacuuming twice.
Great video! I just purchased a used one just like it. It didn’t come with instructions and I haven’t been able to find them for this exact model. The brushes do not turn. I did check the belt and it seems fine. Do i just turn it to “floor cleaning” and them pull the trigger in the handle or is there another step?
I still have a Hoover I got years ago and later got one just like it because my brother and sister in law who moved and have a lot of money left it with a bunch of other stuff and my father in law told us to get it as he was moving stuff out of their house helping them out,it has just one container for clean and dirty water.
Merry Christmas to me...I was using my old carpet cleaner and it broke down right in the middle of spraying the carpet cleaner on my carpet...so now what I have is a soaked carpet...so I ordered this machine you are showing and hopefully I will have it this afternoon...in the meantime fans are on hyper speed....UGH!!!
Enjoyed your demo on the Bissell Proheat Advanced used it today it was wonderful but when I went to clean it l turned it over and the roller brush was in mud. How can I give it a good cleaning it doesn’t pop out?
does it really get that hot? I've found if you just warm up the container with hot water before you put really hot water into it......you can get the unheated one's.... pretty hot. another trick with these things, when you're done, empty the waste, put it back in and just put the whole unit in the tub and run hot water and suck it up, it cleans the whole thing out in an instant. Warning : keep the floor dry and wear good shoes when you do this, try not to touch the handle when it's in the tub running. The truth is, it's a shampooer, all double insulated and designed to work in wet conditions safely, but it's best to take extra precautions.
@@malissatookes1916 forgive me for not remembering this exact model while I am driving, but does this one have the dial where you have to choose floor or tool?
I just got one today and come across your channel and loved your video and i subscribed i give you a 100% I do need to ask this when it sets at a spot when finush mine leaks alittle water is it normal?Thank you for sharing
Thank you Mariam. I find that many brands of carpet cleaners will leak a little if there’s water in the system. I always make sure I emptied out before I put it up for storage
It sucks up a lot of the moisture but if you over-wet the carpet, it will stay damp for hours. If you do it efficiently the carpet will dry pretty quickly but to answer your question, it does not dry the carpet, it only sucks up the water
If we use the proper "Soap", there is no need to rinse it all out. If we use dawn or laundry soap, then the remaining soap would be bad to leave in, but if we use proper carpet cleaner, the little bit of moisture left behind won't be a bother. I like to use a cleaner made for carpet cleaning.
Anyone using a Bissell proheat (any model), do NOT use the heater if you live in a hard water area. If you want to use the heat function, use distilled water or bring water in from a soft water area. I recently bought a 9400e model from eBay very cheap, not spraying. The nozzles were clogged and kept clogging after clearing them. Ended up taking the heater out and stripping it down, it was full of limescale. Works perfectly now.
One of my neighbors put their proheat by dumpster.I grabbed that sucker. The canister was RANCID!!! (almost pucked) Anyway I stripped it down and cleaned it.Any advice to sterilize blatter? I could buy new blatter, but if U got any tips it will greatly appreciated. Thanx 4 vid :)
Go to the auto store or go to Walmart and pick yourself up a spray bottle of automotive interior cleaner and spray the cleaner on your seats and scrub it with a scrub brush and then come back with the carpet cleaner and use the carpet cleaner only to extract the chemicals and the dirt
I put the cleaning solution down when I’m pushing the machine forward to avoid it from being instantly sucked up. Once I soak the carpet and let it sit for a few minutes then I suck it up
My machine isn't sucking up the water enough. Plus, it only lasts for like a couple or three swipes and then it acts like the bladder is empty, but usually isn't. PLUS+ the dirty water part isn't even close to being at the fill line. I am dumping clean and dirty water when changing. It's wearing me out!! It should clean at least an entire section of the floor, from one wall to the other on a full bladder of water, correct? I think that red thing in the tank is being pushed up too soon making it think the tank is empty and the dirty water full and needs emptied, but it isn't. I'm afraid to just keep running it if it's not dispensing or sucking up the excess water!! What can I check for??
Bedroom dried to where my socks stayed dry in about 3 hours. I probably could of ran over it one more time to get a little more up but I was so excited to tell everyone about it!
OK I just went and looked at mine and it’s pretty yucky behind the roller. If you have access to a garden hose outside that’s how I would do it and if you don’t then I would do it in my bathtub because I have a showerhead that’s on a flexible hose. I wouldn’t use high pressure but I would just try to squirt it up in there, it looks like it’s completely sealed off and after all, it’s used on wet caret
