Love my hyrax and knock offs tend to not be quite as sticky…. Nothing beats ruptures…..haven’t tried the megaliths…..crazy how much stick of tire makes difference.
I've had cheap, and I've had expensive. And after I got the g8 compound hyrax, they had been one of my favorites. With dual stage foams, they have been good for 4 years now. My favorite scale appearing tire that performs is the g8 compound BFG km3, or BFG krawlers. With the same dual stage foams. But I've also used the rc4wd mickey Thompson Baja claws, the proline swampers, rc4wd mudslingers, even had real good luck out of Traxxas canyon trails. The real key is dual stage foams
Nice, you know I've got dual stage and took them out. I felt they were a little stiff, but the weather was cold as hell too! Lol I have just purchased some rc4wd and they are pretty sticky, hopefully I can film a vid soon on them. I have been sick, thanks for the comments man, it's nice to have some veterans on here.
I use them on my trail truck and they are a perfect option. Now on my crawler I use a way softer tire but for a trail truck and for light crawling they are a perfect choice. Thanks for the video.
You are very welcome. Thanks for the comment and view. I will say I have since switched to Crawler Innovation foams and love them. Checkout the video we're I show them, all I will run now.
I gotta say, man, I just recently discovered your channel and I am really digging the content and the effort you're putting into it. Just awesome. You seem like a really cool guy and I'd love to buy you a beer and go for a crawl with ya. I have a buddy who's very new to the hobby and has the same RGT crawler as you, he wants to upgrade it to keep up with us on the trails and im going to absolutely recommend your channel to him as well. If you're, for some reason, ever up in Washington state, we have built some very long, nail-biting, axle twisting courses and would love for you to join us. Keep it up, much love and happy crawling.
Hey brother, thanks for the awesome and inspiring comment. Appreciate it very much, I'm learning more and more each day and with people like you spreading the channel, oneday it will be something. I'll hit you up if I'm ever your way lol, much love The Arkansas Rc Newbie 👍
I enjoy these types of videos where you and Wolfman are having a bit of a conversation. When are you taking the spark or sonic (forget what it is) on the crawler course?
The injora’s are $22.00 for just the tires without rims. So a lot cheaper but I have them on one of my cars and they are not very good. My other car I have the deep woods and they are better. Thanks for the comparison. I would like to try the hyrax someday.
Thats a good point man, glad you've got the price by there selfsame. They are really jumpy, I hope me and my partner on this next comp do well! 2hours of driving and scale recovery ONLY!! 👍Thanks for the comment and view Bapa
not trying to hate but its kind of a bs test hyrax tires werent as wet and you took better lines with them as well lmao you got high centered with the injora tires and compared it to the hyrax going right over the rock
I mentioned Hyrax to you once after watching you compete with Chinese tire. For climbing, I found the Hyrax is better. For side hilling, I'd prefer the stiffer sidewall of the Chinese tire. Hyrax tends to fold under the truck. It comes down to where & how you are driving.
Jason, well I took the advice!! LOL I cannot wait to crawl this weekend. Gonna get together and practice this weekend. I hope they really impress me 👍 Thanks Jason
I like them a bunch, but the sidewall gives very easy!! LOL I've got an idea coming up with some stiffer foam for the outsides. Thanks for the heads up👍👍
@@arkansasrcnewbie I run Hyrax on my Deadbolt with weighted wheels & brass steering parts without problems after replacing the white foam with firm grey foam and still get the tires to form over rocks.
I got the "hyrax killers" the j concept landmines and once broken in they're insanely good....only got em cuz hyrax predators were put of stock so I tried the landmines....nvmever Goin back
From what I can see, you wet like 2(on the left) and maybe half of one on the front passenger. Hardly any(if any at all) in the rear passenger. Yet the injoras you fully submerged them 🤔😂😊 Seems a little biased, but I would be too if I paid more for them.😂😅
For trailing, they're not bad at all. But on the rocks they're suck. Their 1.0 tires are awesome though. Chinese manufacturers have started developing their own rubber compound.
