eiriseven I think its based off Darkseid vs Thanos, and those two gave zero f*cks about each other (On a side note, one of the intros with both Darkseid's have the same lines as Thanos in Marvel vs DC.)
@@travisoliver6741 Glad someone else remembers that. The only thing that got those two to stop fighting (outside becoming one being) was the sky cracking open and bleeding. ...mostly because Thanos was awestruck with the beauty of the end of all things.

19:12 Out of all of Darkseid's intros, this is the only one where he shows anything close respect; None of his usual arrogance or threats, but a genuine interest in the abilities of "A Marine"
In one of Sub Zero's intros, Darkseid actually refers to him as "Grandmaster". Pretty sure that and the one up above are the closest thing Darkseid has to a respectful intro.
@Irfan Alddin Superman usually gets his add handled to him though. In fact, the only times he ever eins is when he supercharged, fighting an avatar of Darkseid, and has backup from New Gods/Divine empowered beings. There also the fact Darkseid literally can't leave the Fourth World without destroying the Orray of Worlds being forced to user weaker avatars like most of the inhabitants of the Sphere of Gods.
@Irfan Alddin actually he did. Final Crisis started because he won the war against good. He claimed ownership of reality soon afterwards and started twisting reality. Aldo, do keep in mind Superman only did that after Darkseid had been poisoned by a substance that was lethal to the New Gods (of which Batman shot him with a gun) and then had the New God of Death ram straight through him with intend of killing him and he still refused to die. Even afterwards Superman action only broke Darkseid but didn't truly kill him as his essence fell across reality and one of them began rebuilding it while traveling across the multiverse and killing so many supermen that the modern apocalypse has a pit filled with thousands of dead Supermen.
He only truly died in Darkseid War and that was when he fought an anti-life infuses Anti-monitor which used both the power of the equation (which is stated to be a fragment of the source of all things), the New God of Death infused flash. Doing so unbalanced creation which caused several heroes to become gods (And in Shazams case cut him off from the original gods he got his powers from) before ending with order being restored as Darkseid was revived through the body of a child of an alternative Wonder Women.
@Irfan Alddin incorrect. The Norse Gods die, as did some Egyptian, native African, and even Greek gods... even in DC gods can die but it's usually by either another gods hand or with more effort then one could realistically hope to use regularly. The thing is what makes the gods important is that the represent and how important that is. The New Gods are platocian ideals. If one of them dies the effects in reality is drastic as they are important for it to function. Like a machine if you remove a part it wouldn't properly function and that is what killing a New God is. Darkseid is the New God of Evil his role in reality is far to important. His death caused a system shock that tried to replace him until he finally returned and resumed his function.

I just love how most of these heroes talk so much smack and are so proud, yet they are literally nothing compared to Darkseid. I really want to see Grodd killed by Darkseid.
is it just me or does Darkseid seem singularly unimpressed when facing himself? He doesn't even seem to have unique dialogue acknowledging his Mirror... Also, I love his poise... he always starts by holding his hands behind his back like he has not a care in the world.

I feel like his response to "The Flash, Fastest man alive" should be more direct, such as "Then you should run away." or "Nothing outruns the Omega beams" or "My Furies will hang your legs in the streets of Apokolips"

You know for a despot and a tyrant, Darkseid seemed considerate for his generals. "My torturer, DeSaad has interest in you." "I shall break you, for Granny Goodness." "Kalibak will be avenged!" When Darkseid says, "Serve me, and rule galaxies!" I would believe him. As long as your loyalty to him is paramount, he will fulfill his promise. But if he finds you weak and incompetent and hesitant, you'll be thrown in the pits.
Darkseid is after all, ruthlessly pragmatic. He isn't going to screw you over unless it benefits him. If it doesn't he won't, not out of morals, but out of pride and pragmatism.
@@jorgebersabe293 Only downside is, Darkseid may be lenient, but his generals are a different story. Apokolips rulers tend to break into a civil war with lots of backstabbing and political conflicts. This is why I hated the new Darkseid in the new DCAU, he's no pragmatist, just a stereotypical tyrannical villain. And he's always on the frontlines, that's not how Darkseid works. He only goes to the frontlines if he's the only one left, giving you that final boss theme.
