Actually, he did play a lot of MK9 for an extended period of time, much longer than players like Justin and Floe did, so he does have background experience on Netherrealm games. Plus he also played UMK3, so he isn't THAT foreign to it all. Also, him being a beta tester for Injustice helped a little bit :P
That's the super-secret invite-only match hosted by an underground criminal organization (I'd say which, but they might find me). Cameras are banned, so no footage of the Shaq Fu tournaments exists, and the loser has his gamepad smashed under a bulldozer. It's pretty hype.
Two things. One: He was a fucking GENIUS with his Morrigan play, and perfected it to such a degre that seperates him from the so-called spammers you think he's in the same league with. Two: This game just came out, everyone's still finding their characters. Admittedly I won't be surprrised if he sticks with Black Adam, Green Arrow or hell Lex Luthor for being strong keep away-ers.
Chris G is an Awesome player, and a good guy, he is part of many communities, including the Mortal Kombat Community, haters always gonna hate, but i personally never seen Chris G hating on anyone, and this is comming from a MK player.
Chris G can play any fighting game well. he is the only guy you see playing well in almost every game at these tournaments. He is super talented and any one who says different is just jealous.
It's funny how people look at players who are truly passionate about their games and then proceed to hate on them, like it's going to make a difference.
Man, Chris G is a true fighting game champ. This guy pulls off better and more entertaining combos by far.and I will admit I hate this fuck with his Morridoom, but you have to admit he is truly a god at fighting games.
Now I have a question, are these combos from the demo/beta version, or are these doable in the real version? I have ran into a lot comments that these fights were done in a much earlier build...
Lol at people disliking Chris G because he developed a strategy in a game that after a nice span of time no one can seem to figure out how to counter. I dislike him because he acts childish. I respect his gameplay as difficult as it is to fight against. He created a method that earns him wins, and as of now no one can stop it, only occasionally can someone narrowly escape with a win.
Well, that's just because he's the heel of the community. Kinda like in wrestling, he brings in the views/bodies because people wanna see him beat. I'll bet he's not a bad guy irl, but it's the stream persona that everyone sees.
I love how everyone hates on Chris G's Morrigan. All I have to say is if you really think all he does is spam random fireballs all day to win tournaments then why isn't every Morrigan player winning tournaments, and if you think it is that easy you should be doing it also and reaping the rewards, good luck.
with that many keep away, we should be able to block in the air... it's mostly oriented to be a keep away game, not a ground street fighter, so we should be able to block in the air...
I'm sure Netherrealm thought of it, but would you really want to give Doomsday free jump-ins? I think re-working projectiles would be a better option. Nightwing has an interesting anti-spam game and Green Lantern's machine gun is pretty fair right now.
I love how people are hating on ChrisG for losing because apparently he can't win without playing Morrigan, but if he were to play Batman or Aquaman (This game's equivalents), you people would bitch about it anyway.
Well, Chris G was a tester for the game, so he's been playing a lot longer than anyone else. Don't get me wrong, he's a great player, but i think kikook is referring to how he had a head start , and everyone else has had like a week
I bet he'll find something with Deathstroke or Green Arrow that characters can't go around, and keeps doing it all day long, and win with chip damage...
He can kick your ass anytime on marvel, street fighter, injustice and mk9. He is the one who made morrigan top tier in marvel and he kept using her because she matches his passive and controlled playstyle, which is uncommon for marvel and he gets hated for it. Moreover, marvel is chrisg's main game and he concentrates on that. Injustice has been out for just a bit so hold on, he 'll be catching up soon.
Dude, you said it tho. Spam MASTER! Nobody can do it like he does, and its only marvel. Have you seen him Body people with his Pheonix Wright team? Or with Sakura in AE? Hes legit, and hes one of the best fighting game players in the world, period. You dont get there with "Spam" you get there by doing something nobody else can do.
Yes, you're right, I know you would have taken 1st in every event at this tournament. Too bad the FGC didn't rally together to get you a plane ticket and lodging for the event. I apologize. lol
Probably not. Injustice will have a tonne of strong players coming out, and it doesn't look like Netherrealm style games are his best, but he's still beast for getting this far. We'll have to see.
lol I was about to scroll down and see all the ChrisG hate and it blows my mind that he gets it even though he's a traditional Marvel player...doesn't compete in Netherrealm games until now and took top 3 in a game that's only been out for a week and a half.
Not really, he's just burning meter when he should. You can't save your meter for a random super combo and expect to do well in this game. It's all about the meter meta game here.
I remember when noone gave a shit about kabal in MK9. Now everyone lists him as the best because Reo perfected him. Unless you are a top level player you shouldnt care about "tier list" because they do not pertain to you. Yea batman is really good when Reo plays as him, but that guy can beat you with anyone.
Batman and Aquaman are in NO way Morrigan's equivilant. There is no hard Morrigan equivilant, closest maybe being Gunstroke. But he's really easy to counter, just like EVERY zoner in this game is easy to counter with enough patience as chip isn't as huge in this game as in the marvel series.
That's just not true, Galaxy. I mean no disrespect (sincerely), but you're wrong on this. Scorpion is surprisingly easy to handle. Even if you're fighting some scrub who gets a couple hits in, you just have to watch his patterns and make your moves when an opportunity presents itself. Now that he's been nerfed especially, people no longer have any excuses. You can do it, I swear.
i still don't like how the defeated character gets up after being knocked down, only to fall to his knees. It looks very unnatural and stuttery. Whats wrong with them just staying on the ground?
after watching his performance and reo's performance in the mk9 tourny's i can say theres no problem at all. Reo is statistically the 2nd best fighter there is, is he not?
Lol I love to hear these kids cry about "spamming" when they're unaware of how zoning works. Nothing is unbeatable if you approach it properly with the proper strategy and skill. Change up your approach to Deathstroke or Scorpion or whoever you wanna yell about and watch the wins come flowing in in your favor. (: And no, I don't see a single woman in the room (maybe one off to the left, but that's a toss-up) which is a shame, but not completely unexpected.
