Ink Master’s Worst Illusion Tattoos 😵 

I think the Judges should make all the all their decisions in the blind. I think they make some of their decisions through their familiarity with the certain artists.

"Today, you must...do a tattoo!" "Aww, man, oh, no, you gotta be kidding, what??".

Judges: “this week, we’re doing anatomical tattoos” Mystical Mike : “ok, do you like music?”

The one thing I am not a fan of with this show after watching the full eps is the judges never seem to take into account what the 'canvas' wants. They are people, they chose what they want, but if they also move around, or not able to take the pain the artist shouldn't be criticized for it. That's like asking you to draw a perfect circle on paper while the table below is shaking. I seen many an ep where they are told their line work is bad when the person getting the tattoo would not hold still. Or eps where the person wanted something that didn't fit the challenge, like wanting something cartoony and bright in color when it's about realism. That tree of life with the snakes could have looked great if that lady could have held still so everything that was to go into it could. Yet the artist in criticized for it being the way it was. I realy fail to see how that is fair. The best artist in the world cant do good if what there working on is moving around.

Don’s spine is facing the wrong way. Vertebral bodies face forward, while spinous processes face back. He literally tattooed the front of a spine, on the back. Nobody said anything. WTF?

Instead of Mystical he should call himself Hysterical Mike because he thinks he's a creative tattoo artist !

Mike is a joke but the idea of like a "stamped out" cut, like a symbol or whatever, I think is very cool and can look sick if done well and with another motive.

Today the challenge is....detail "Omg, detail is so hard. Tattoos need detail in order to see the tattoo. This challenge is gonna suck"

I've got my second tattoo on my back, part of it directly on my spine. In retrospective, I regret it, but I was really young back then and didn't know much about tattoos. I should've chosen a better tattoo studio/artist, who knew what he was doing and talk me through the tattoo, before he put it on my skin. I was sitting for somewhat over 3 hours, no breaks and it was extremely painful. My tattoo artist got really frustrated about the butterfly, which was directly on my spine, because he couldn't make the colour stick to it. Instead of stopping and talking with me about possible options, he painted over and over again at this one point, until it felt like it was on fire and I couldn't bear the touch of the needle any longer (which he mocked me about). After the tattoo was finally finished, I went home and had to immediately lay down, because I wasn't feeling well. Later, my partner discovered that the position of the butterfly was a huge hole in my skin on my spine (he led my hand there, so I could feel it). There was no upper skin anymore, just raw flesh and it took months to heal properly.

What’s tough about this show most the time is if the Canvas wants a shitty design or can’t sit still. The artist is eliminated.

It's a minor gripe but I cringe with second hand embarrassment whenever a customer is referred to as a "canvas".

I just wonder how the models feel when they hear how bad their tattoo is :D I assume they are getting paid, but to live with an awful tattoo is not worth it!

Maddie cried when she was criticized for her tattoo, but when Mystical Mike is up next, she's laughing. Top grade acting.

The time requirements are fucking stupid. They should get several sessions worth of time to do a good tattoo not a few hours to do a mega detailed complex tattoo. Especially since it seems the design is part of the timeframe. If I went to a tattooist and they wanted to design and fully tattoo a complex tattoo in one session I would walk away.

The fact that they hide Oliver’s face, but still have is voice is really stupid.

Maybe I'm blind as fuck but a lot of the tattoos I see are fine but there are also some that look horrible

Honestly a BS luck based system when you throw in completely random people to get tattooed and then don’t take into account the design process and difficulty with the person during judgement.

I still have the word "Mentalist" engraved into my spine thanks to a terrible drunken decision and an amateur artist. Covered up, but still visible to the touch.

I have numerous tatts and the spine was probably the most pleasant. The inner bicep or the rib cage... now that places stings a bit. :)

As someone with a back tattoo that goes over my spine, three arm tattoos, and a thigh tattoo, my back tattoo was the easiest for me to sit through. I was chilling for the 2 hours it took and just talking with the artists in the shop. Spine tats don’t really hurt for me. My thigh and right sleeve tattoos were worse

That music note was actually awesome, I don't care if the judges are good at tattooing, he removed a whole portion of her skin and showed what was underneath. Muscle fiber, that followed her anatomy very well. And it actually looks like fuckin muscle fibers what the hell man

My latest tattoo is on my spine. Surprisingly it was my least painful one yet. I could feel an almost shocking feeling, like a dull pressure on the area. I have one on each inner arm, one on my upper arm, and one on my ankle.

Mystical Mike is definitely over hated on because of his attitude, but honestly if he executed on his ideas better hed be a super cool tattoo artist

As someone with a spinal tatto, it does not hurt at all in fact it tickles witch is more annoying 😂
