I have been trying to get into designing with different software, so I have been checking out tutorials on youtube. There's always something that bugs me to the point where I can't keep watching. But you have perfected the art of explaining. Not too fast, not too slow. Never too much or too little explaining. You have prepared what you're going to explain. This is perfect. Thanks you.
The inset text into an object... amongst other enhancements... are vey handy features that will assist in improved output. Thanks for discussing them 👍
Go up to the View menu, then down to Show/Hide and make sure both the Commands Bar and Tool Controls Bar options are checked. Also try toggling on/off Wide Screen mode at the bottom of the View menu.
Thank you for this video!! Just one thing, if you can answer, I am using Windows 11 and I cannot get the new document to duplicate (if that makes sense)! Any ideas to what may be wrong?
Hi, do you have the stroke turned on for the object? (If you go to the Stroke Paint tab of the Fill and Stroke dialog, it should be on something other than the X at the top left.)
Brandon. I have another question. Say you have an elliptical object and you placed the text inside - the way you displayed. Is there a way to have that text center transfer into the elliptical object and then rotate relative to the ellipse?
Thank you for this very informative tutorial. Question please. Is there a way to delete page on canvas so that you have a completely blank space similar to old versions?
The only way I've been able to find is to go to Document Properties, uncheck "Border," and change the Page color to the same color as Desk. Seems strange, but at least it works.
If you draw a straight line and make it the length you want, you can turn on snapping to object rotation centers in the Snap Controls, then snap the rotation center of each of the circles to one of the end points of the line.
In the Fill and Stroke dialog, make sure that the Opacity slider at the bottom is at 100%, and in the Fill tab, make sure that the Alpha channel slider is at 100. Please let me if that helps.
@@SweaterCatDesigns thanks for ur reply, I have done that before commenting and that wasn't the problem, but then I found the solution by accident while trying to explore every icon and option in Inkscape itself, it turned out to be very easy :\ -_- .. you know from the "option" selection that is listed above, you will see "File", "Edit", "View" and "Help" at the end, I clicked the "View" option and then chose Display Mode and there was selected Outline and I changed it to Normal and it really worked successfully
@Sweater Cat Designs the save and orint options bar is on the right of my pc...and some of the modification tools of selected tools are not mentioned at top...my version is 1.2. Kindly help me
It sounds like you might be on Wide Screen mode. If you open the View menu, there's a checkbox at the bottom that you can use to turn Wide Screen mode on or off. Please let me know if that fixes it.
If you go to Edit -> Preferences, then open the Interface category and choose Windows, you should see a "Show Welcome dialog" option near the bottom. If you check that and close out Inkscape, it should bring up the welcome screen next time.
@@SweaterCatDesigns I followed the directions: edit then preferences, I opened the interface category. I did not see anything that said Windows. Got stuck at that point.
