my friends and I are behind on inktober but we promised ourselves to finish it midway into inktober, we are craving to do other projects, but watching your videos keep me motivated to finish I love your art and I can't wait to see you complete it to the end
I liked it a lot! I think that you consider making a video once October is over explaining some of your discoveries abt inking during this month. There are many things I don't understand completely when you say it (for example, how can you do washes at all if the ink isn't water proof) and I think maybe it's the case for many of us? It also might be that we're reaching the last third of October and I'm already missing you so much ;v; Anyway, thank you for sharing with us and keep it up babe!
Yeah I will definetly do an round up video with everything I learned. And by washes I basically mean to use the ink in a more painterly way, to have ink with different amounts of water to create different shades and use them with a brush. But with the non waterproof ink I can only use the pure ink to fill up an area to be black and maybe let it fade out if it doesn't bleed into my linework too much. I'm still unsure if that's the way to go tho😂 And once inktober is over I will figure out a weekly shedule for videos :)
i literally look forward to these videos every day. it isn’t a real day until i watch an inktober vid from kloodwig. and no matter what the outcome is, i like the outcome (yes i like some more than others, but none are bad at all) and i love her

Nooo, don't use washes. Don't trick yourself into using it like a drug addict: "I have it completely under controll. Just this little wash in the corner and then I stop." Stop it! You are no watercolour artist right now. You are an ink drawer!!!😁 But still an awesome drawing. Go Kloodwig, just a few days left and we have a life again ( I stop. Have to finish my drawing for today🙈)
I think your Inktober artworks are a lot more ambitious than most! This one came out really well, I think. I used to do comics inkings and tone them with black Dr. Martin's dye, which is very blue-ish.
The answer for me is Yes. I sadly took too many breaks and a big goal for me was to do majority of my inktober traditionally. However with the move, I forgot to grab larger size paper for the inktober. The paper I have now is decent for basic sketches but I had planned out pieces that wouldn’t fit into the 5x7 (especially with my larger art supplies). Doing this digitally has drained me and I wish to paint and play with color. So technically I failed inktober in how I wanted to go about it but it helped me when my time management problem. Maybe next year I’ll just do mini inktober sketches and put my focus into Drawlloween~
I don't think you can really fail inktober if you have learned something during this time or made drawings that you would have never made otherwise. In the end, it is a self-improvement challenge and everybody gains something different from it. I think the only situation I would consider a fail is if you would just pretend that you participate and show drawings that were made on different occasions but you have never actually challenged yourself.
She’s beautiful..you put so much into your work ,even each character is different ..I really like this one it’s simple for you but shows of your ink work perfectly..What a shame your art shop has gone and the other is closing..I cannot get out much so buy most of my bits online but some times the postage is as much as the item..I use eBay the most as you can get a lot of art supplies for free postage so it’s a bit easier on the pocket 😀

Well I am still excited by doing INKTOBER but I am starting to fall behind. My drawings are getting more and more complicated and still doing Day 10 and 20 as I ended up doing dot drawings which take forever. Love your work by the way and your videos are really cool and enjoyable and so back to the drawing board and more ink drawings YAH.
omg that tiny brush has sich a fine point.. what brush is it? I seen Da Vinci but which one precise? as I have Da Vinci brushes but the point isn't that fine which make it hard to make eyelashes tiny lines. I need such fine pointed tiny brush 😱.. I recommend to invest one day in a daylight lamp.. it's such a comfort to be able to paint longer in good light in the winter when it gets dark earlier.. 5 pm here on the darkest day if the year 😖 I love winter though but it's dark so early. oi I just forgot to appreciate your art by the excitement of that brush.. even though you. mention you get a bit inctober burn out, it's still good art you make. don't forget that all artists make good and lesser good paintings once a while and flaws has it charms. but I do recognize the self criticism treatment I give myself when art don't come out as how I wanted it. 🤭 it can be a kick on my own booty to do better next time, or it discourage me completely 😂
Hey so sry I'm only replying now! I got two new da vinci brushes one is 0 and the other is 2/0 and even though the 2/0 is super tiny the hair are also shorter and it's difficult for me to control it. I think I started using the 2/0 during the video and switched the brush because I couldn't handle it, since then I use only 0 for details :)
@@Kloodwig no worries, thanks for answering. da Vinci have several brush lines. I have da Vinci cosmotop spin which don't have a fine point. but the ones you use do have. is it da Vinci nova brushes? I use now either inking dip pen or pencils but both are not to my satisfaction. I only have black ink and that's too dark for many cases and I am not planning to buy more colour inks for such details 🤭 therefore been searching for tiny fine tip brushes but so far failed in my search. they either too stiff or not well made so far.
hey klood! Wenn du wieder mal nach Tinte suchst - eine Grundregel die man sich merken kann ist, dass Tinte immer mit Wasser reaktiviert werden kann und tusche nicht. Also wenn du noch nach was wasserfestem suchst dann schau mal nach ner Tusche :) Und Respekt dass du jeden Tag ein Video hochlädst! Das halten echt nicht viele durch! Vor allem auch noch mit so fantastischen Illustrationen :D
Dankeschön! :D Ich hab Tusche da aber ich hab gemerkt dass ich den Füller einfach lieber benutze als die Feder und die Tusche hat mir immer den Füller verstopft :/ Ich weiss zwar dass es so einen fancy Füller gibt mit dem man Tusche benutzen kann aber ich will erstmal gucken ob ich nach Inktober immernoch gerne den Füller benutze und es sich lohnt da mehr Geld zu investieren :)
Yes it is and I am not sure if I can ever bring myself to do it again :D But my goal was to get better at making videos and being a little more relaxed in front of the camera so making videos every day really helped with that!

What is the name of that beautiful cube of chocolate...caramel....nougat? It looks absolutely delicious!!!! Also, put the ink down and back away slowly!!! You just said that you are not a fan of washes, so don’t keep going back to her seductive ways!!! In all honesty, I think doing more smaller washes like you did today might be a great compromise. The worst that can happen is that you try it and still don’t like it ☺️☺️ Loved today’s drawing (and I could definitely tell those were stone steps)
It's called "ptasie mleczko" it's filled with cream and you can get the cream filling in different flavors :3 I really like the convenience of them so just filling up darker areas might be a good thing but we'll see how long it takes me to hate them again :D
Because it would take me a lot longer to make the videos and I already make it just in time :) Coming up with the idea, making the sketch, looking up some references and sometimes taking my photos takes a while and I would have to film + edit all that. I am already looking forward to making proper videos once inktober is over and take a little more time with them but right now I am just happy to manage them the way they are, sorry :)
