I would totally fill out my mission board and then place the poly tab in front of it so I could see it. Then, I would place a couple of glue dots on the mission board so the poly tab “sticks” to the mission board. That way, you can still see it and it opens to the calendar page. The glue dots are removable so you can reuse your poly tabs. You always have amazing reviews. I appreciate your time and thorough videos!!

I used InkWell Press and liked it a lot, but I went back to Erin Condren because the colors made me happy. Now I'm thoroughly confused because this is so appealing. Great overview -- thanks!

The softbound are really nice if you don't want the coil....and you don't normally want to have your book folded over;) But the softbound paper doesn't have the "tooth" to it...the texture. Which I personally love too:)

I'm also trying to spend less money in general, so that's another consideration. $35 sounds good, and I won't spend more money on stickers or accessories. I'm kind of on a minimalism kick. I hear ya! after cleaning out my house this year I am on a minimalist kick too! Well except for all the planners I need to review and work with :) But this has become a job. So it's tools of the trade.

The words escalate, cultivate and accommodate threw me a hard curve ball when I cracked open my planner on Jan 1 this year. (I was using my 2019 December that carried me into Jan, so I hadn’t gotten into it yet.) I needed to go research the terms and let the concepts sink in, but the more I learned and thought, the more I decided I actually love them. I time block and was roughly using the columns as timelines before. But the categories actually sink beautifully with my morning, afternoon and evening blocks. I still haven’t decided how to use my bottom boxes though.

Oh, interesting thoughts! I am glad they actually flow with your day and work for you;) I can personally ignore the words because they are so small. I wish the 3 boxes were at the top. Then they would be my appointments or top 3 for the day for sure.

Amanda's Favorites I could definitely get along with boxes at the top. I’ve wanted to put appts and major events there too, but it’s weird at the bottom. And I like the line breaks. And the words are subtle enough to work around I think. That’s one thing that drew me to inkwell...the colors and layout are calm and subtle so the page doesn’t get too busy visually. I like a clean and functional aesthetic.

Amanda, if you do an update on this, I'd love to hear if the goal inserts for 2021 will be updated to the 2021 colors. On the website, they are advertised as undated ("so you can start anytime!") which is fine except I want to mix them with the 2021 planner and if they colors don't match, then it looks frankenplanned. Again, nothing wrong with that but I would love to know what I'm getting into for over $100 if I get both inserts as well as covers, discs, etc. Hoping you're connected enough to have the answers!

I hear ya Anne. But the colors haven't changed in the goal setting insert. I didn't order a new one this year, but online the colors are the same. You can always email them with this suggestion for next year or DM them:)

If you buy the daily or weekly, will it have a month, or do you need to buy that separately?

If you buy the Weekly it comes with the Dated Months. If you buy the Daily it is undated and you have to buy months separately. And all those details will be listed on the site....make sure to double check when you are ordering. But that is how it was when I ordered:) I have a $10 OFF link if it's your first order.

I've used them off an on:) I am not in one right now....but I have used their weekly, and daily in the past;) I have an InkWELL Press playlist that has some videos showing how I planned in mine. I've also used the Flex for food& fitness tracking for long periods of time;)

Now I am confused what to do. I like this new disc planner but like She Planner. Know you commented on one of your videos that coil planners get in way of writing. What do you feel about writing in this planner. How do you compare and like honestly between this planner and She Planner? Thank you Amanda! You have the best reviews.😊

Hi Susan. I use coil planners, you just fold them over to write on....and discs are just about the same as a coil for writing purposes. Many lefties can't do a a coil.....and others just don't like coils. The advantage of a coil is you can just see one page at a time and it takes up less room open on your desk. I love both IWP and ShePlans and I think you will be happy either way you choose to go;)

I get tabs from an Etsy shop. I have used the same original adhesive tabs for 2 years now. They work beautifully and I chose the color and style. I agree with you that the vertical format for the weekly pages should have the three colored boxes at the top! And I have a question: In the veritcal planner, did you notice (of course you did!) that the monthly calendar pages begin the week on Sunday but the 2-page weekly pages begin the week on Monday? Why?

Thanks for sharing about your Etsy tabs:) In the US most monthly layouts have a Sunday start and the Weekly Layouts have a Monday Start. I know this doesn't make sense, but it is what we are used to in the US.

Did Inkwell Press phase out their previous planners? I was wondering because it seems as though their focus on their vertical, coil, softbound, & every other version disappeared-unless it was discbound! Why alienate their customers?

They only offer discbound on their website now...that's it. They do offer their ring bound planners in office Depot & on Amazon. Some are lower priced and have a less thick paper weight because of that.

I don’t like the way IWP left so many of their customers in the dust by only offering disc bound planners now. While some of us could see the writing on the wall last year there was no formal warning from them so some people were counting on using their planners for 2020. Them saying they are going to focus on discbound planners more does not constitute a fair warning and many people were shocked when only the discbound was offered on launch day and very upset by their casual dismissal of them (as I saw in facebook posts) as loyal customers. Posts by them insisting we will come to love the one size only discbound version only shows their ignorance of people’s wants and needs and thinking everyone can fit into their little box of what they’re trying to build over there. Also, some people have points to spend and nothing to spend it on now. The cool thing to do would have been to warn people in advance of their intent and give people time to possibly purchase something with their points. While Office Depot and Amazon offer a coil bound (flex only!) that is of no comfort to those who have come to love the vertical layout (coil bound or coil free binding) and A5 inserts. Also, they have ruined the vertical layout overall with those lines. While I realize no planner company can be everything for everyone, this company is really boxing themselves into a corner and I am so disgusted that I don’t think I should ever return even if they started offering coil bound again, because of the poor way they’ve handled this situation (not necessarily that they’ve discoutinued things) and I’ve used their coil bound vertcial for three years in a row (2017, 18 and 19.)

Michele, I truly appreciate you taking time to share & explain your feelings about IWP. I am not in the FB groups, so I really didn't know there were that many people upset! If all the people who are not happy speak with their dollars than maybe in future years they will make a change . I really miss the quarterly books by IWP myself;) Although, I am happy with how their disc-bound system turned out. It is high quality and works well;) Have a good week.

Michele... I understand your disappointment. We pushed hard for our retail partners to produce all the same options we had for 2019. Unfortunately, they decided to go with the best-selling FLEX layout only... and because they way we run our business without investors and debt, we weren't able to produce everything we wanted. I apologize to you and others who were upset. We do hope to find new ways to give everyone what they're looking for in the future.

Kimberlee Green way for everyone here to miss my point. It’s not about the change (and I have tried planners from other companies along the way these last three years but always kept IWP close by and it was always my main planner) it’s the manner in which this change was handled. Of course IWP can go whatever direction they want. But the dismissive manner in which they spoke to some customers on Facebook is what I didn’t like. The way people were counting on their planners up until launch day (and IWP let them think they were getting the planners they wanted) and then to be blindsided on launch day and have to scramble for another planner. These are the main points I was making here which the three of you seemed to miss.

Yes they do. If you are mixing IWP pages and HP pages the pages are a tiny bit off. I just showed that comparison on Instagram in an IGTV video recently. Are you on Instagram?
