My Dad died the next day at UT hospital. We where there at the game when Inky got injured only to open up another door to his incredible journey and now I I travel on without my best friend and game day buddy.This video is a real testimony to the human Spirit.

I was 10 yards from inky at the game when he went down. It was terrifying to see in person, when it happened we heard he wouldn't walk again. It's amazing to see not just what he overcame, but what he is doing with his life after. VFL

The first thing I'm going to do every morning for the rest of my life is listen to this speech. It's been hard on us lifers the past decade! Watching this video just helped remind me the way every single Vol fan used to strut to Neyland! The whole country knew TN Football wasn't no joke! Hopefully, Inkie sticks around Knoxville and keeps reminding these young guys that if they put in the work and win football games. He is truly a VFL player. One of the best motivation speeches I've heard in a long time. He feels what Tennessee fans feel about the game of football that played the game. He makes me proud that I’m a Tennessee fan, because I haven’t giving up on my beloved Vols. He has live it, and the example of what we ought be. Go Vols!
That was truly amazing. It brought tears to my eyes. He makes me proud to be a Vol For Life. This is a man who truly gave his all for Tennessee every time he had the chance. What an inspiration.. I would rather have 1 Inky Johnson wear the Orange, than have 50 five stars from Alabama. Everyone thinks that UT has been short on wins, short on talent, short on coaching......Obviously, what we've really been short on recently is class, attitude, mindset, priorities, and just general character. Thank you Inky for displaying they type of player we want to wear the Orange, and thank you for giving your all for UT. God Bless you!

Made a huge hit in a game that caused traumatic nerve damage in his neck. His right shoulder to his right hand is paralyzed from giving his all for Tennessee. Inky was the man, a true warrior.
Mr. Haynes... As a VFL , I say to you, "You must bleed Orange and be some kind of closet Volunteer fan. He had a career ending injury on 9/9/06 against Air Force, a week after a huge win over 9th ranked Cal to open the season. I was at that game, and had a sick feeling about it, I think everybody in that stadium knew something was wrong the moment it happened. It figures; the guys from Alabama just don't get it. You guys need to take a lesson on class from the great Bama coach, Nick Saban. I'm sure he would have been honored to hear from a man like Inky who loves the game and life so much.
