The Cloudlifter sounded the most balanced and clean to my ears. The Klark Teknik sounded hyped in the highs. As for the Manayo, louder isn't necessarily better. Just because it's louder doesn't means it's higher quality. I could actually hear a bit of distortion.
There was comment earlier that recommended that I turn to the mixer interface on that to see how it sounded then. I appreciate the comment. I think that might have been the problem with it.
@@FoxyAndCraig I too have a Manayo and it is clean and much like the Fethed. They are decent quality and definitely worth it and if you are on a budget then it's a great option.
Wonder what the manayo would sound like if you turned down the mixer/interface a bit to rid some of the possible noise from mixer preamp or background since it was noticeably louder. Sounded like it colored the sound a bit but I'll have to listen again. I have the cloudlifter but I'm considering one of these cheaper options so I can get it closer to the mic in the signal chain because the cloudlifter is a bit big and cumbersome. I wonder if having a long cable into the cloudlifter makes any impact compared to the direct connect/shorter/cabling of a device like this. Watching other videos and listening to this though I'm thinking the cloudlifter may have a less colored more natural sound compared to the cheaper options.. hmm.
I'm going to try that as well. I have been have challenges with my setup and I just got a new Tascam mixer and started making some better adjustments. Thanks for the recommendation and the comments. I agree I think this will clean it up. To be honest I have severe tinnitus and it does make it difficult to mix audio. I think that is also part of the problem for myself however; I have been using some techniques that can help me get this together. Again thanks for the comments. I will try your recommendation going forward on my videos.
If you are using the Rode Procaster Cardioid Dynamic Broadcast Microphone it will. I'm assuming your talking this: www.sweetwater.com/store/search?s=rode+procaster
Man Eye Yo. I have a Manayo and find it a great value. Compares with the Fethed. It's probably the best value if the price isn't going up. Don't trust no name brands as many are VERY noisy and not worth it.
I just noticed that too after I went back and listened. The only thing I could think is that it sounded like that it might have picked up the fan / air conditioner that I was running.
Thank you for the question. Yes any time you use an inline microphone preamp you will need 48v phantom power. Please let me know if you have other questions.
