After messing around with an Intex Seahawk 3 and a Suzuki DF2.5 Outboard I decided I needed to upgrade to something more serious if I was going to start enjoying the water (the Intex raft could not handle this motor). So I bought the Inmar 290H-TS (9'6") Tender Series Inflatable Boat with the Air Floor for $1,373.71 delivered. I'll be mounting my existing 2021 Suzuki DF2.5s ($837.35 delivered) to the boat and hopefully end up with a motor and boat that I can transport with my Mazda 3 sedan, without attaching any trailer. I should have enough space left to easily pack two people for a weekend getaway or even slightly longer adventures. The motor should provided enough power to get moving around a joggers pace, but likely won't get the boat on plane. So if I like this setup enough, I'll consider spending another $1,500 for a 6 hp motor, which should be able to get this boat and two people on plane...or at least that's my theory.
I'll post a follow-up video of my first excursion, and another one where I install some transom wheels. Stay tuned.

Get rid of manual pumps and invest on an electric. I spent little over $100 bucks and can use it everywhere.

Hello Mauro, do you by chance have a recommendation for a pump you like?

@@SebastianOats There are a couple of types of them. One is a dual pump with a high volume, low pressure and a low volume, high pressure. The other type is just a single stage low volume, high pressure. Do not use a LVHP to pump up a whole boat - you will fry the pump. I use a Coleman battery powered pump for HV and then top up with a LVHP. Dual pumps are very expensive in my country so tht's why I'm doing it this way. You can also use a battery powered leaf blower with a homemade nozzle. I have the same size boat as you and with an inflatable floor. It's a nice size for a single person to handle. For max efficiency on the water, always keep the floor at recommended pressure and make sure the motor is at the correct height on the transom. I had to extend mine and get rid of that 1" cutout like you have on your transom. Now I can aaaalmost get up on plane with a Suzuki 2.5 and it's a rocket with an older Suzuki 7.5.
