Inner Fire Priest returns! 

When I use shadowstep it’s fair but when my opponent’s use it it’s abuse. This is my opinion.

I never buy cosmetics in hearthstone, or usually in any game, but I bought the Rag skin. I've recently become a bit more financially comfortable and I can see myself using the skin for a long time and it being something special to me, so I didn't mind spending the money. Especially because I've never bought skins for Shaman or Warrior before, aside from like one or two pre-order skins, so it's not like I'm really missing out on those much. I feel a little bad with how much people trash talk it that everyone's gonna think I'm a scumbag for buying it. Idk, I get the whole sentiment about these things becoming way too expensive lately, but it was something I wanted. And that is my opinion.

Fun fact: "inner fire" is the only spell with word "fire" which in not a fire spell school

I think the shadowstep argument is pretty well explained using your logic in that it feels really bad because it enables stupid stuff like protecting a combo piece or repeating a powerful battlecry, which is often why people complain about it. It allows, pretty consistently, for game states that feel horrible because they shadowstep their good card or whatever. That being said I do agree with you that it isn't really a problem. Just kind of annoying to see them shadowstep toy boat, but hey I don't need to see that as much anymore so.

But shadowstep let's you spend more mana for the same minion. That's like Sap, the worst card in history. Sap is basically just a shadowstep for your opponent that you have to pay 2 mana for.

Just started playing wild cuz of u, this deck is the first deck i crafted. It’s pretty fun and easy but games last a little too short and i dont have enough dust to craft the renethal decks. Just wondering if there’s any cheap deck that make games last long. I have every card in standard for priest, warlock, dh, and paladin but no legendaries for any other classes

I agree with taking your time to do funny stuff for lethal, opponent always has option to queue next game as many do when they see I've lethal/can't contest board and bail out. They don't care about your quest either. Neither should you. Same goes for emotes. I'm gonna squelch ya if they overdo! This is my opinion and I'm sticking with it.

Recent pack rogue didn't even run shadowstep but did run breakdance

im ngl i have not been enjoying hearthstone since the apprentice nerf but this list and the raza priest u were playing recently might change that, i guess its time to rebrand from a mage one-trick to a priest one-trick

Thank you for shadowstep discussion. I do think it has been annoying good many times but to say it was broken since launch in the same way as old prep or innervate is just false. It took Naxx-Ungoro off completely, only became good in non-quest rogues with Lackeys in Rise of Shadows.

It's sorry, but like... the shadowstep argument of 'its not the strongest card in the decks that play it, and it exposes busted cards' kinda falls on deaf ears to this doll, because that entire philosophy implies the problem card is 'strong effect that's busted when you can play it multiple times on the cheap'. We see this constantly happening now with breakdance+shadowstep here in standard creating frustrating play patterns at its core. The fact that you can keep on bouncing 'let the badlands buurn' or other powerful battlecries means that as a whole they're going to feel repetitive, frustrating, and fundamentally limit what kind of powerful effects you can give rogue in those capacities lest you risk opening up that unfun play experience. It realizes the most succinct way to put it: Shadowstep creates the ice block feelbad on a bunch of other cards that then take the hit in lieu of shadowstep because its a part of their play pattern that blizzard sees as 'core' to rogue.

Don’t know about abusing, but shadowstep being used in every rogue deck for 10 years(I haven’t seen it only in recent mech rogue), is kinda boring and sometimes tilting for me(esp quest, astalor and keleseth meta, and maybe toxic iteration of thief rouge with hero disguise)

I'm just sick of having so many bounces in standard, especially those that come with cost reduction/cheat
