Inner Space - with Joe Satriani is part of a mini documentary series that explores the mental states, struggles, and insights of taking a creative path in life. The first film in this occasional series features instrumental rock guitar icon Joe Satriani, sharing perceptions and insights gleaned from his 30 year solo career.
About this series ...
So much of our culture seems intent on trying to divide us, and people (especially young people) are becoming more isolated and discouraged as a result. As a film maker I see this as an opportunity to explore our similarities, which for me centers on consciousness (our internal processing of experience), creativity, and the struggle to find our true path in life.
I'm reaching out to experienced self made artists who have an interest in sharing the stories of their "inner voyage" and the challenges of living a creative life. As patterns emerge among a variety of artists and performers, it's my hope that viewers might gain some sense of comfort and connection from these conversations.
About Joe Satriani:
Joe Satriani is the world’s most commercially successful solo guitar performer, with six gold and platinum discs to his credit, and sales in excess of 10 million copies.

Probably the most intimate interview I've ever seen Joe do. Letting us in to peek behind the curtain where the channel begins. Thank you Joe.

When someone asks me who my favorite guitar player of all time is...... For me there's no doubt.... It's Joe. There are many amazing players past and present. Satriani tells a story with every song, every melody, every note... And his stories have become my own stories as I listen.. Joe , thank you for everything you've given to the music world!!

There is some amazing photography with this mini documentary. I love the picture of Joe with glasses on, looking down at his hands in the reflection of his glasses. Bit like the Matrix.

This is truly very interesting, there are only two artists that I just have to buy every album they’ve ever done 1, Joe Satriani and 2, Ozric Tentacles. I never tire of listening to the genius of these artists so it’s great when an interview such as this takes place as it sheds a little light on the mechanics of spiritual genius. To play like this man does over and over again in front of so many people has always amazed and inspired me. Fantastic fantasia of thoughts 🙏🏻👍👍

It is quite the endeavor to do so given our asleep society. I feel there has to be a hook to accomplish your means. Again they (the Masses) may not be able to grasp anything with meaning so they tend towards gimmickry-sad! I believe TPTB have lulled us into this void we are in. I applaud your efforts to get us out-bravo!

Joe, why are you resting your foot on some cups :D ? at 5:07 ? Wasn't there anything else to rest your foot, or is it some secret practicing technique ? :D :D
@MegaDutchdude
@MegaDutchdude 6 лет назад
this is the position that normally classical guitar players use for playing. it makes for a more comfortable body posture while playing sitting down. And why the cups...I guess it was the easiest thing available.
