New Age isn't anything new. People have "found the past" and it always leads to false hope. Knowledge isn't in the deep past. The ancients built more than they knew. A real new age is disconnection from the past. It is a connect to the future. All knowledge is external and come from without. We can find things we didn't know before. But we should remember the past. I think some of us want a golden age millennia ago to save us now. Rediscovering Rome did not save Europeans. Will Atlantis? Will older civilizations? Originality is a wonderful thing. Now it seems like it is dying. Because we don't want the world that could be, we want the world that was.
