Fun fact about mc axe if anyone is curious: In java, a stone axe deal 9 (4.5 hearts) damage, for comparison, the netherite sword only deals 8 damage. The damage of the iron and diamond axe is also 9 damage, and being netherite push it up to 10.

Actually axe have bigger dmg in early game of mc java ver using wooden or stone axe(have duo purpose as tool and weapon) that crit is bigger advantage in hardcore than crafting wooden sword. So suisei can scare anyone with any material that axe wielder is indeed dangerous
