Here in the Phillipines there's a lot of good A/C Technicians instead of replacing the whole PCB which cost more than a hundred dollars, they can repair it with few bucks for the parts like diodes, mosfets, capacitors, resistors, optocouplers, relays etc.
Definitely. It takes much more knowledge and probably also an oscilloscope. Mine had a faulty relay. It depends on the price of a new board if it worths the effort.

Hi there,I have question about my lg a/c,same problem,no communication between indoor and outdoor unit(ch 05 error message on the display).Outdoor and indoor pcb's been replaced,capacitor on the outside unit repleced to,compressor it's been checked and it's good to,gas checked to its good and still error message on the display.Can u please tell me what could be wrong with this,thanks.

Saludo .desde Rep dom .cuando sale error f1 E1 eso es falla en la energía eléctrica falso contacto .el PCB graba el error sale f1 y el usuario no puede borrar. el fabricante no dice nada de eso .solo vuelve a funcional reparando la pcB. Porque ella se bloquea . aquí le cambian el integrado micro .gracias
Debes realizar todas las pruebas que muestra el vídeo amigo para que puedes determinar cual es la falla en muchas oportunidades es la placa base de la unidad externa.
