Innovation in Double Bass Making with the Luthiers of the ISB 

This is great! Bravo to all these fine luthiers! I had the pleasure to play on Gael’s restoration and Mitch’s bass at the ISB. The fingerboard on Gael’s instrument felt absolutely perfect. Mitch’s bass sounds great. A privilege to meet with these fine people and play on their beautiful instruments. Thanks Geofff!

Hello very intersting indeed. I'm a french double bass maker and I was wondering where can I contact the people making the paper/resine fingerboard?

The young luthiers are way too friendly. In my experience, older luthiers tend to be curmudgeons - the crankier, the better work they do.

Do you have a plan pdf?

A very interesting set of interviews, thanks. I think it's high time that we find alternative materials to use in place of exotic hardwoods.

Brilliant interviews, and captures a little of the feel of the ISB convention. I would so love to go to this already, although still such a newbie on the bass. Love Discover Double Bass, it is a super resource for bass players. Thanks Geoff!
