If venous leakage is confirmed after pelvic trauma, it can be treated. But other causes of erectile disfunction can occur after pelvic trauma: nerve damage, or arterial damage.

Nerve damages cannot be “treated” but there are solutions such as self-injections. Arterial damages and arteriovenous fistulae can be treated.

Thank you for your message. There is a lot of information on Internet. One must be able to find scientific proven information. It is not easy. It is probably the reason why I have a lot of doctors coming to see me to get the surgery done to cure their ED. Personally I have never heard any positive results after shockwave therapy for ED treatment. I can tell you that I have many patients come after having had shockwave therapy and not being satisfied at all.

I am doing this surgery because shockwaves don’t work on ED. I have never met any man saying shockwaves are efficient nor have I read scientific articles. I have many patients asking for surgery after having had shockwaves with other doctors and not being satisfied.

These treatments are different. Vein leakage surgery allows for regaining natural erections. However, for some patients, this surgery might not be indicated. In such cases, the solution may be an implant.

Masturbation absolutely cannot cause venous leaks. If a man experiences strong morning erections and, logically, throughout different sleep phases, it is unlikely that he has venous leaks. Apart from penile trauma, the causes of venous leaks are still not fully understood. There may be a genetic component, but currently, there is no scientific data on the subject. We are actively researching this!

Excessive masturbation cannot modify the quality of the penile venous system.

No. Embolization alone is efficient in only 20% of patients. The reason is that embolization alone cannot reach all leakages. Embolization alone sometimes induces an improvement during the first weeks and then a degradation of erections occurs. Only surgery combined to the embolization can improve erections in 70 to 80% of patients with durability. A systematic penile duplex sonography with pharmacological test must be performed three months after surgery to assess success.

Surgery for venous leak means ligation.Venous leak surgery is an association of endovascular surgery and micro surgery technics altogether to be efficient.
