This is not how we interact with Gnawa. In gnawa we dont "dance" we do " jedba" which means ritual of moving our bodies a specific way to go in trance, and the hair and face must be hidden. When the ritual is not respected, the spirits get angry and they take revenge. So What the dancer is doing is disrespectful ( dancing with uncovered hair and body, instead of doing Jedba with the right cloths )
What are you talking about, there isn't a specific dance for women for gnaoua... plus she was great, totally oblivious to her surroundings. Maybe not the 2nd girl who joined in, but the initial dancer was on point. This kind of music is supposed to put you in some kind of trance, and that's exactly what she was in.

U should first of all hide ur face and hair with a scarf and then wear a specific cloth and relax and move ur head and hair and body a random way.. they way the demon that possessses u want to move. What she is doing is shame especially for this song. He is singing abt Moulay Abdelkader a verry respectfull saint so his song should be respected too.
