Congratulations for your very competent demo. I wish we, back here in Portugal and Spain had such a competent dealer/importer of Brother’s Sewing/embroidery machines. Here there´s only one authorized importer for the whole Iberian Peninsula. I bought an Innov-ís XV (Called Dream Machine 8550D there in USA) from them, back in March 2017 and until now I could not register my machine in Brother´s site. The importer haven´t solved that yet and is pushing the problem to Brother. Happy costumers of yours. From you I’ll consider an upgrade, but from these guys here, at such a price tag, NO WAY: Too risky!

Thanks for sharing your personal experience about the Brother Luminare XP1. Many new Embroidery sewing machines appearing the end of this year. I been trying to compared the new models, Brother Luminare XP1, Baby Lock Solaris, and Pfaff Creative Icon. During the comparison I'm disappointed with Brother and Baby Lock Videos, they don't ever mention the sewing and embrodiry quality of stitches! Brother Luminnare XP1 or Baby Lock Solaris videos do not mention about their tread mechanism and is it redesigned? Have these new models been updated for all types of threads? What is the stitch quality back of the fabric? Only Pfaff Creative Icon videos share the thread mechanism and quality of stitches. It seems those who review the Brother or Baby lock mostly focus on or just redundant about the projecting images and LCD panel functions - like yourself. Can we see how well the Brother / Baby Lock stitches and any update to the mechanism?
The needle threading mechanism is AMAZING on the XP1! The stitch quality on fabric is also very nice. The new XP1 has MANY new built in thread codes for colors including Floriani, Isacord, and others! Email me at info@blakmansewvac.com for more info if your still doing research!
It looks great but it drives me crazy that he kept having to hit the screen again and again in order to get it to read it with the rubber stylus, or whatever you’d call it. Maybe it would make a difference if he was sitting to the left where the user would normally sit...? But they should have done that for the video.
State of the art machine but I think Brother may have priced this one out of the market. Sure the regulars will buy it but at the price of a new car may many people will not be able to afford it or will just not consider paying so much. I think for an embroidery machine I would rather buy the PR1050 with ten needles or a Tajima 15 needle machine. I still have another sewing machine with which I am really happy.
I have a Quattro2 that I use for all of my embroidery work and I don't even use all of the facilities on that so definitely won't be upgrading to this new one. I have an old NV950 that I use for sewing only and it has never missed a beat.

i'm sorry. this is alot, but they should make all the embroidery editing part of the software and include a good graphics suite with a complete embroidery program.
Love the machine, but I'll have to win the lotto in order to buy it! That'll be like getting hit by lighting! I guess I'll have to stick with my Brother Innov-is 4000D!

I will never have one like on this video (they are called dream machines for a reason 😀) but I am still happy even without her.
